A classic Rainbow album. Best Rainbow LP with Joe Lynn Turner on Vocals.

From: Kim Date: September 9, 2002 at 16:09
ARGHHH, This is the same band that gave the hard rock scene. Rising, Long Live Rockn Roll, and On Stage. This release really suxx, and I mean SUXX. This is just another band that Joe Lynn Turner almost ``killed``. Compare him with Dio................Uhhh.

MASTERPIECE!!!!!!

From: aceofice Date: March 18, 2003 at 18:52
by my opinion the weakest album of rainbow(i never heard "down to earth" or "difficult to cure")...the best songs are the 3 ballads("can't let you go" has the greatest vocal performance ever heard on a rainbow ballad!) and the 2 instrumentals...on "fire dance" j.l.turner reaches a "not of this earth" (i mean very high)note!

From: rising power Date: March 31, 2003 at 1:03
This is the only Rainbow album that comes close too "commercial". When you get to track 7 it may seem a bit soft but than you get to "Drinking with the devil" and "Make your move" it bends the record back to the tough side.

From: Chris Date: June 5, 2003 at 8:10
A fine album. If you liked 'Straight between the eyes' then you will like this.

From: Gar Date: June 6, 2003 at 23:47
I remember there was a little controversy over the album cover when this was originally released. Some people thought the door the woman was walking through looked like a vagina! The album itself is pretty average. "Street of Dreams" provided them with a decent hit. The rest of the album is listenable, but nothing to get too excited over(well... I guess its ok for some people to get excited by the cover !).

A pesar de ser un correcto disco no es lo que esperamos de Mr. Blackmore. Seria posible que por las fechas de edicion de este disco alguien presentara a Ritchie a la petarda de Candice Night.

From: RR-Finland Date: August 28, 2003 at 10:32
Pretty funny story about that door,Gar . Vagina or not, this is my favourite Rainbow album with JLT on vox. Man, I was happy when I bought this one for myself. I wasn´t heard any tracks from this one before and it was a killer! I liked Straight Between The Eyes and this was good sequel for that. Why they stopped after this for so long time?

From: Big Papa K Date: June 28, 2004 at 16:18
Where is Blackmore on this album? Now they are fully into a keyboard aor type band now. While some of these tunes are among the best of their career ("Can't Let You Go", "Street Of Dreams"), there is some filler and the band seems to have lost all their energy. 7/10

From: Great Dane Date: October 11, 2004 at 20:28
Joe lyn Turner ir the worst stinker in Rock. I havent heard one decent track from him ever.

From: Great Dane Date: October 11, 2004 at 20:32
Hey USERS..............Vote for Heavyharmonies at DMA's I just did. it only takes 10 sec. HH and Dan deserves it.

From: Jgg Date: November 17, 2004 at 10:38
Buen Album, destacaria dos temas que son un clasico de los 80's Can't Let You Go y Street of Dreams .

From: Propane Date: November 30, 2004 at 22:47
Probably my least favorite Rainbow. I think maybe MTV might have had something to do with softening these guys up. Pretty boring.

From: Joan Date: April 10, 2005 at 5:58
Éste y el Difficult to cure, los mejores. Street of dreams, una delicia!

From: underworld king Date: January 31, 2009 at 9:57
My favorite of the JLT era, probably because it was the first cd I bought of this era of Rainbow. Can't Let You Go is a monster song!

From: Animal! Date: March 3, 2011 at 0:13
Its Rainbow, Therefore I have it! enough said!

From: Doug Date: March 3, 2011 at 16:24
Could be wrong, but I think Bobby Rondinelli was drummer on this one, not Chuck Burgi?? This album did well because MTV latched on to it. Always thought it was the best one with Joe Lynn Turner; was serious attempt by the band to go commercial. During this time I saw them in Boulder, CO. Good show but a bit over indulgent performance.

From: 123charpenay Date: July 26, 2013 at 9:45
the best rainbow record ever.a masterpiece ,a must have.essential in all serious melodic rock collection.only killer songs."street of dreams" is a real hit i m able to hear this song again and again."snow man" (extraordinary instrumental) is really beautiful.what class!!!!!!!!!!!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: February 28, 2019 at 21:07
A good melodic record with a superb Joe giving it vocally good...my fave cut is "Desperate Heart" but tracks # 3,4,7(AORish),8 & 10 are also in my book of music...pretty enjoyable stuff indeed.84/100 :-)

From: blueheaven4u Date: January 12, 2024 at 20:36
Thank goodness there are tastes for everything....otherwise the fucking reggaeton wouldn't exist. I like melodic rock, and I think this Rainbow album is great, it has a lot of great songs and great ballads, I like Joe...there is always some "black sheep" album by these groups, for example Eat the Heat by Accept. ..thank you for being melodic at least once. 9/10 great album

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: February 2, 2024 at 22:06
I don't care for the Joe Lynn Turner years. Part of that is because I just don't like Joe. I prefer his more restrained performances; when he starts belting it out, it just seems so self-conscious, like "Okay, I gotta really wail here! What would Steve Perry do?" Or whoever. "Street of Dreams" is a lovely song, as is "Stone Cold" on the previous album. But I don't think this style particularly suits the band. They just sound, for lack of a better word, dorky, trying to fuse Blackmore's guitar heroics and the grandiose keys with bland American radio-rock.
