Yet another great (and i mean great) cd by the man himself. A slight change in direction to the first 2, but still a fine album with some rockin' tunes. The man is a complete star when it comes to playing the guitar and keys. Why this man is not a household name is a complete travesty in this world.

From: mallorca´s rock Date: August 24, 2002 at 17:57

the best canada will ever have.

From: iaffprofireman Date: January 5, 2003 at 1:00
A little different than the first two, but equally as good! Great melodic tunes, strong guitars, good keyboards, ( as is with any and all of Aldo's works ) I miss this type of music, and Aldo was one of the best! Check any of his albums out, they're all killers!!!

"Tonight"....What a track!

From: Sly Date: December 4, 2003 at 0:33
Wow!!! he actually put power in his voice on this one and it actaully paid off because its more Aor than ever and id forget his 1st album because he had no power or anything enjoyable on that one but here is where he stated to be good however it does get a little boring as it goes on but he was just folloing the formula back in 85 but get this before any other of his albums.

From: Infinity Date: January 3, 2004 at 21:27
GREAT!!!"Stay" is the best ballad of 1985!

From: Blaine Date: February 2, 2004 at 22:15
Great album. My most notable track is SURRENDER YOUR HEART.

From: run2u Date: February 6, 2004 at 12:06

yes what a great album one of best of his works talent talent talent wtgggg and oh wow the songs about love wtggggg

From: koogles Date: March 26, 2004 at 16:09
Aldo Nova cranked it up on this one! Bigger production and more energy= a definite improvement over the Santers/Coney Hatch-style AOR of "Subject". An under-rated album, this one was only represented by 3 tracks on his 17-song greatest hits "Portrait" CD.

From: Chevalier Date: August 23, 2004 at 7:13
Does anybody could tell who the producer is of this one please?

From: espo Date: August 23, 2004 at 9:05
Produced & arranged by Aldo Nova, co-produced by Lennie Cohen (engineered & mixed by Brian McGee).

From: Geoff Date: August 23, 2004 at 9:10
This is an awsome AOR disc! I didn't really dig his other early work but this one really amazed me! So many great tracks like the opener, 'If looks could kill' and 'Stay'. Stellar AOR!

From: Rockhead Date: August 23, 2004 at 9:47
Geoff-my dear. How can you compare this more favourably than the debut????? It is obvious you know nothing about music whereas I know everything and the debut is on a par with Signal, Roadmaster, Balance etc etc. I suggest you retrieve your spade and dig a little deeper. My friend I am trying to help you better your taste and once you agree that the debut is better then we can be friends and I will invite you to my Chateau. Remember its ok to have an opinion as long as it agrees with mine dear!!

Hi Rockhead.Subtle, ironic and can I say comical sarcasm. If your not English, you should be.Mind you, some of your musical likes are a bit dubious. Or are they?......

I found a perfect copy of this CD at a used record store last night for under five-bucks... This pure pure mid-80's melodic rock / AOR bliss. Quite a change from "Fantasy," but equally as good. Buy it if you can find it!

From: Rene Date: August 28, 2004 at 11:47
Just the best ALDO NOVA album. If you love the 80s melodic hard rock Aor movement this is the next cd you need to buy.

From: Rocker10 Date: October 30, 2004 at 18:59
I liked this album quite a bit. Loved the title track 'Twitch'. Shows the creativity that is Aldo Nova. 8/10

From: rick kerch vzla Date: December 16, 2004 at 14:59
Aldo Nova is an unique artist,an icon for all the aor listeners. Check out the albums:"Aldo Nova","Subject","Twitch"and "Blood from stone" and you won´t need anything else.

AMAZING!!One of the best AOR releases ever!! Sounds so sweet with more hooks than a tackle box! 10/10

From: Nick C Date: June 2, 2007 at 9:34
This has to be my favourite album by Aldo Nova, the songwriting is superb as is the performance. Just brilliant straight from the opener Tonight allllllll the way to the end. The slight change in direction yielded fantastic results and although 1st and Subject are SUPERB this one for me pips them to the post. I'm replacing my vinyl and I'm just waiting for this top pop through the door and I seriously cannot wait, I'm not playing my vinyl version to heighten the excitement hahahaha!!!!!!

From: Nick C Date: June 2, 2007 at 9:34
I put top pop!! I meant to pop! Doh!

From: lalorock Date: September 10, 2007 at 21:53

From: COBRA Date: February 16, 2008 at 12:36
Straight up AOR. 10 out of 10 songs that are from good to very good. Some catchy tunes and very enjoyable to listen too.

From: shoemaker Date: August 30, 2008 at 14:02
This is so 80ies, "MIAMI VICE" style. I love it.

From: Footstomp Date: September 9, 2008 at 11:34
Great album! "Tonite (Lift Me Up)" is a killer...

From: aor4sale Date: August 26, 2009 at 8:44
Now this is pure class. Another one of those albums that sits comfortably in my Top 10 of all time. Surprisingly this album did not fair as well commercially as Aldo's 2 previous efforts but in my book it is the best album he ever did. Don't get me wrong the other 2 are classics but this just pips it. If the salvo of the first 3 tracks off this one do not have the hairs on the back of your neck standing up in appreciation I would be surprised. Truly awesome...

From: rick kerch vzla Date: September 19, 2011 at 1:34
Great album too!!! ..."Tonight(Lift Me Up)" is a killer one,"Rumours Of You"(one hell of a beauty!),"Stay"(simply amazing","Twitch"(great beat)and so on...Aldo Nova is undoubtebly one of the most charismatic artists to emerge from lovely Canada...90/100

Great interview: Ep. 17: Aldo Nova (Solo, Jon Bon Jovi, Celine Dion) http://tun.in/tgOZBl

From: Stixx Date: April 12, 2015 at 11:59
Cool, just listened to the interview, one of many cool ones there, thanks. ALDO: if you ever read this. Please consider to fully remix this wonderful set of songs, cause this is a killer record with many should-have-been hits. Label politics took away some of its joy, understandable, but the songs themselves and your talented performances are truly amazing. Great guitars, great vocals, no fillers at all. The bass guitar is way too low in the mix and the drums are perhaps a little too much Miami Vice/Top Gun-ish, plastic sounding (similar to Kiss' '87 AOR-ish release). A shame the label did not promote this fantastic album that much, since it is actually a KILLER AOR CD. If looks could kill and Heartless are two of many stellar choruses, love this album. Also read: http://melodic-hardrock.com/reviews/aldo-nova-1985/ This album REMIXED and remastered by Aldo himself would be a gift for his many fans.

From: MysticHealer Date: April 14, 2015 at 17:00
Needs the Rock Candy remaster treatment and no one else.

From: 123charpenay Date: April 14, 2016 at 13:41
this record is the perfect follow up of "subject".excellent hard f m ,excellent mix of guitars and keyboards on very great songs.ok there is nevertheless some fillers in between."twich" for example.

From: hair metal again Date: March 8, 2018 at 5:43
excellent release for ALDO NOVA back in 85 with a fantastic commercial hard rock approach and a perfect balance between keys and guitars!his vocals are passionate as usual and the songwriting of the highest level with songs like "tonite(lift me up)",'surrender your heart",'if looks could kill" and "stay"!essential

From: petermexico13 Date: August 10, 2019 at 18:19
I Like this one, but in my opinión is a step back, He didn´t improve, he just went for the more AOR formula, prefer the style of his earlier Works.
