One of the AOR cd's of the year. Great songs and playing, mostly all by Aldo himself. His next cd Subject was even better.

as stated above, what a voice, what a guitar player and way ahead of it's time. everyone need's this cd and his Blood On The Bricks cd. At the time this came out Aldo was kicking everyone's butt. This went on to sell over a million copies when first released, which in 1982 meant a bit more than it does today.

I have alot of teenage memories about this record. Fantastic AOR. And a agree with Jez Parry, Subject was even better. Aldo is known today for his work with Celine Dion.

A forgotten classic. Heck, a forgotten artist nowadays. One of the cool things about this album is that Aldo played most of the instruments and multi-tracked it himself, but you'd never know it to listen. Sounds like a complete band. "Fantasy" is such an awesome song, I can't ever tire of it. Too bad younger people only see the video and remember it that way. Dumb video.

Yep, memories for this disk are great! Our band, '2nd Time Around' used to play, "Under The Gun".. It wasn't a main play for the radio stations at all like Fantasy was at that time.. But the girls liked it, and it was really fun to play. :O)

I personally really disliked this CD as it appeared to be as soft as the tissue in which I issue the contents of my nose into, and none of the songs except 'Foolin' yourself' did anything for me. I'm not really into AOR this old so I sold it quickly. Not my scene at all, but judging by the other comments it might be a winner for AOR fans.

being a rock musician in the early 80's music was changing, and hard rock aor was coming in, this one is one of the first and the best along with 707, Foreignor, Shooting Star, the best Aldo to have, from Fantasy(what a great tune and never gets old) to See the Light, strong release!!!

This is a fucking great album. Increible good hard rock songs like FANTASY(cool video clip too), HOT LOVE or HEART TO HEART(my fave song on this album). The guitars sound realy great and the melodies of the songs are increible. This album could have been released perfectly in 1984 or 85. Pure melodic hard rock the way we all love it.

What can you say about the first track? Absolutely killer. If your fantasy is to find a better 80's song than this, then you are truly dreaming! As for the rest of the cd, it is a classic.

If an album was ever in need of a good remastering job, then this is one of them. This new remastered version sounds fantastic and breathes new life into this 'Classic' album, + for Aldo completists, an alternate version of 'Foolin' Yourself' as a bonus track. A well loved album by the majority here it seems and quite rightly so. 'Subject' is also in the pipeline for the full Rock Candy treatment this year aswell, so big smilies all round.

Super-Recomendado! 9.3/10

This is the kind of album that you enjoy from start to finish!!!.."Fantasy" is a song that immediately puts you in a good mood "Hot Love" followed the same formula of the starter and then 2 settle down a bit comes that emotive and one of the most beautiful ballads i've heard, noneother than "Ball And Chain","Under The Gun" is another blast and "Can't Stop Loving You" could be easily compare 2 Ball And Chain in emotiveness...then the last song "See The Light" makes you wanna aks for more as the album closes how it started...with good mood!!!.Undoubtebly a hell of a debut from the multi-talented Aldo!.95/100

This is right up there with some of the best AOR on this site. It's hard to pick a favourite from all the great tracks on this one but catchy Hot Love and the sensational See The Light are songs to which I just keep coming back and back. If you're looking for sleaze or glam, forget it; if you're looking for heavy metal, forget it; but if you're looking for great vocals, wonderful shredding fused with melodic riffs, keyboards and pounding rhythms, then by all means, you won't be disappointed.
