If you notice that a particular Aldo Nova CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Why do artist feel it is necessary to take their best selling classic album and re-record, & rearrange it some 36 yrs later? This makes no sense to me. Aldo's remake does no justice, his voice is not the same and he does no justice to the original. The only good track is the new one I'm a survivor. He should have remastered and reissued the original and added the new recordings as a bonus CD. Would make more sense. If your like me you will play this once only because your curiosity gets the best of you, then your shelve it, Like I did!

Probably because he has no control over the original masters as they are more than likely owned by the record label. These re-records rarely match the originals, but the only way they can make money from their old songs is if the re-record and release them themselves.

Your probably right!

Well Rock Candy managed to get the rights to remaster the debut and Subject, and to good effect, so no reason why Nova wouldn't be able to do something in that respect. The debut always sounded dreadful to my ears anyway, the production sucked great big balls. This new thing soundwise is ok but it's still a lot of nonsense all the same. He needs to concentrate on a whole new release and not a rehash of this kinda stuff. Start with those old unreleased BOTB era tunes, some of those were excellent.
