i am a huge fan of both allen collins and lynyrd skynyrd so adding this disc to my personal collection was a must for me,but in all honesty, the songs are boring and not very ear catching.if you can get a copy for yourself and you are a fan, then this will be a real treat. the band only cut one album for mca records before being dropped (due to low sales i hear)and the lack of any outstanding songs or guitar work may be why.i expected a lot more from someone i considered one of the greatest ever. |

You can hear what a hole there is in the new Music Skynyrd is puttin out, don't get me wrong I like it but there's something missin. That style that just was Allen. |

Although it's true that the blistering guitar work Allen was known for is not here, this is still a very enjoyable CD. In my opinion, one of the better 'post Skynyrd' releases. Much in the same style as the 'Alias - Contraband' album. As stated, no blistering solos here, but every solo is as tasty as can be. In addition, Billy Powell has some fine moments, adding a little more of that old Skynyrd feel to the album. This is long out of print, but worth tracking down. It stands the test of time. |

I have had this CD for years and it reminds me of Little Feat more than anything. I have been a huge fan of Skynyrd since I was a kid and the only time I saw Allen, he was in the sound booth on the tribute tour in 1987! Cool CD for LS fans and Allen Collins fans to keep his memory alive !!!! R.I.P.! A.C. |
