|This is a total shame! One of the greatest voices in rock and one of the most useless guitarplayers that have ever gotten lucky enough to make a CD. This guy Tracy G. sucks so bad that I am having trouble believing that he actually played on the debut WW3 CD which happens to be one of my favorites. Whatever Mandy Lion did to make this guy shine, it is beyond magic. Both Dio and Lion are way too talented to work with a dud like Tracy G.! Don't buy this CD! Don't support sucky guitarplayers!

|That guitarrist sucks!

|This guitarplayer must be the fattest, oldest, worst thing that ever happened to metal! Hey man, if you are reading this please go back to selling tacos......

|Goes to show you that even the greatest singer in metal can be made to look like shit by a crappy guitar player.

|This is one of Dio's best efforts from end to end. If you want to listen to complete shite pick up Lock Up The Wolves. This album is dark moody and brooding. Nothing in Dio's cataloge compares to sinnister sound he puts forth here. I love the production and the progressive steps he has begun taking. This would have been a great Black Sabbath follow-up from Dehumanizer. Listen to it again and get these bad idea's out of you skull!

|I have to disagree. I liked Lock Up the Wolves. At least Rowen Robertson could play a riff. This album has like one good song on it. I don't care too much for this gloom and doom metal. Just heard several tracks from the forthcoming Killing the Dragon album. Great album. Back to form for Ronnie. Doug Aldritch shines on it and the vocals are solid. Can't wait to get it.

|Well, I have to disagree. I don't think that even a great singer like Dio can polish a turd like Tracy G. He never did an album as bad as the ones he did with that G.guy. I think that says it all. As soon as that guy was out Dio did another good album. Why on earth Mandy Lion and Ronnie Dio worked with this guy will be a riddle until I die.....

|i think most of you misunderstand this cd.....its not meant to be a "classic" dio sound.if you have the balls, turn off the lights, crank stereo up to ten, close your eyes and listen to this cd.dio will truley take you on a trip you will never forget, into the darkest crevices of your own soul...a trip down a strange highway.....HOPE YOU MAKE IT BACK!!!not a party album, but worth the price...i dare you to take this trip wiyh dio!!

|Los temas demuestran una tendencia muy insipida, el guitarrista (a pedido de Dio???) demuestra lo bajo que puede ser un material. Creo que un solo tema se salva. 1/10

|This is not Dio's best work, but is definitely worth getting.A little bit of a modern feel to it,but Ronnie's vocals pull you through.Jeff Pilson is a nice addition to the mix, while Tracy G is as well, adding some nice shred to the piece .

|I am a huge Dio fan and had a giant party at my house when Dio kicked that "guitar player" out of the band. This guy could not play the songs from Dio's past and generally ruined them. It is strange because I kind of liked him on the WWIII debut CD. I have heard rumors that he did not play on that album though and that would explain it of course. To sum this up: Dio rocks and Trazy sucks. End of story and good riddance!

|When I first heard this shit, I almost threw it to the garbage can. But a talented band deserves another chance...Strange Highways just got me bored. Then I understood it wasn't Ronnie James Dio who sucked, he is still a legend. It was that guitar player, Tracy G. who sucked. If you call it good guitar playing, you just have to be joking. Sorry, I don't usually think like this. But when I have to express my opinions, I gotta express them my own way. Good that Jeff Pilson went back with Dokken...

|after this. Because he is such a great bass player and he is mostly popular in DOKKEN. (end)

|This one was pretty weak. Traci doesn't appeal here but I saw him on some live dvd awhile back, can't remember which, and he was a blow away.

|I agree that the guitar work leaves something to be desired and the music isn't up to par with pervious releases, but it's still a solid album which rises above the usual garbage that is called Metal nowadays.

|i'm a big dio fan and this album i bought back in 1993 and with lock up the wolves its the only dio cd that still plays in my mp3 every day, well i can't understand but i respect the comments above said,i mean this is a well produced album, very heavy and with amazing singing,as far for tracy g he might not be vivian campbell, but he is one of the freaky players i ever heard and i just love his sound, you got weird spine chilling bends,pinched-harmonics,insane dive bombs, among other floyd rose tremolo tricks....so people this is by far one of dio's best albums, just listen to the album title song strange highways...one word..AMAZING ps.we miss you dio,but your music is forever in our hearts
