The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. EPs and CD-singles from Steeler are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Their last and most professional album! Top production from Tommy Hansen and a more streetwise hardrock sound than on previous releases...The 2 first tracks are worth the album alone but it's all good material. Powerful melodies carried by the guitars. The vocals are too raw in my opinion though...Should be in your collection along with "Strike Back" from 86

I just can't get into this one. Very polished, very professional, but now the vocals don't fit the songs, they almost need a Klaus Meine type singer and the raw gravelly voice of Burtz seems out of place. It's a good album and the first 2 tracks are definitely the standouts. "Hard Breaks" is my fav. But I prefer Strike Back easily over this.

'the deeper the night' must be one of my alltime ballads.. even the funny accent doesn't bother me.

Good CD and good 80's hard rock songs with some bite. The songs are unique and catchy. The only bad thing about this CD is unfortunately the drums. Just too damn plain and simple the whole way through. There is not one song where the drummer isn't doing a generic rock beat with the same timing the whole way through...............kinda annoying. Doesn't even do any rolls or fills either. Good disc to add to your collection though for fans of 80's hard rock.

Another very good, and very consistent hard rock CD. The ballad here, 'The deeper the night' has been done a million times before, but is still quite good and enjoyable. Another good solid CD.

Very good german hard rock album, although the vocals could've been better. "Rely on Rock", "(I'll Be) Hunter or Hunted" and the title track are great, and I also quite enjoy the ballad "The Deeper the Night".

Another superb release from one of the best German metal bands of the 80s. Pell continues to impress with monster riffs and the songs are consistent and solid all the way through. "The Deeper The Night" is probably the weakest song on here (nowhere near as good as "Waiting For A Star" from STRIKE BACK) but certainly worth a listen as far as ballads go. There are some killer tracks on this one (title track, "Rely On Rock," and "Stand Tall") and definitely worth the $$ if you liked STRIKE BACK.
