Very good album! Annoying vocals is the only bad thing to point out here....This was their first try at stadium rock and they succeed! Very powerful guitars and up-front, in-your-face hardrock/metal riffing |

This band is finally added! There was a radio show back in the late 80's called Metal Shop that played "Chain Gang" and got me hooked - definite Accept influence here. I actually like Peter Burtz gravelly voice and think it really fits on this album more so than Undercover Animal. "Icecold" is an awesome pounding song and my favorite track. "Night After Night" would have made a good single IMO. "Waiting For A Star" is a very good ballad. |

Good riff friendly hard rock. Nothing wrong with this at all - good and consistent. |

Kick ass 80s metal. Axel Rudi Pell was always one of my favorite guitarists. Killer riffs all over the place here ("Chain Gang" & "Ice Cold") and "Waiting For A Star" is a wonderful power ballad to close the album. It would be hard to rank this one w/ UNDERCOVER ANIMAL because both are nicely done. Overall, definitely worth the purchase if you're into 80s heavy metal and like your albums solid and consistent w/ no filler tracks. |

I see that my old friend StarCity Rocker is dead on with this one. It's about time you starting sharing with the rest of us Pound for pound, this may be Steeler's best one. Axel Rudi Pell is a great guitarist, and his riffs are strong and consistent. "Waiting For A Star" is an awesome power ballad, and much better than "The Deeper The Night" off the next album. |

AWESOME STUFF HERE!!! night after night is a powerfull tune, all other tunes are fabulous too, this album along with UNDERCOVER ANIMAL are definetly STEELERīs highest moments, right now iīm listening to WAITING FOR A STAR, and iīm trying hard to avoid writing comments like: THIS ALBUMīS F***KING GREAT!!! anyway, i like UNDERCOVER ANIMAL the same as this one, both ARE top notch! and what to say about PETER BURTZīs POWERFULL voice?? the man does have a very strong vocal style! |

Don't like the hard-edged metal-style vocals, but the album is musically good. The melodic guitar solos stand out. 'Waiting For A Star' is a good ballad and possibly the best song on the album, especially since it was sung properly. 'Messing Around' and 'Night After Night' are good melodic metal tracks. If the vocalist sounded better, this album would have been an instant classic. I would have preferred the backing vocalist to be the main vocalist. He sounded good! |

This CD does kick ass. Glam/arena rock mixed with metal (would compare to Accept and Twisted Sister); so I guess Glam Metal. Steeler definitely had their own sound; honestly, not one bad song on the CD so this is definitely recommended!! If you were to start with a Steeler album, make it this one! Only downside I would say for some would be the singer; while he is good and I like him/think he fits well here, others may not since his voice is fairly rough. He is however powerful and (continued).. |

if you're in the mood for something a little different than your normal high pitched, crystal clear vocals (which was 75% of the singers for this genre/era) then put this one in and enjoy. Same quality Glam Metal that will not leave you disappointed! 8.5/10 |
