|Excelent! One of the best rock albuns ever!
||Date: August 30, 2001 at 13:49|
|Excellent vocals and songs, highly recomended

|They'd lost Robert Sarzo by this point and it shows. A great album but no where near as special as Over The Edge.
||Date: December 26, 2001 at 17:57|
|has anyone seen this album with the girl on it, and if so, how much does that one cost?
||Date: January 2, 2002 at 15:53|
|Hurricane might have taken things to the next level, but they played it too safe on their 3rd album and paid the price. A comparative disappointment next to 'Over The Edge'. Cliches and tedium invade the writing and what was once a full-on Hurricane gets sadly reduced to a light sprinkle.

|Liquifury...while not the 1st 2 albums...but what was..the first 2 albums I know i have permanent hearing loss from how loud I listened...but how couldnt u....this album is a definite rocking album....nice to see someone put something decent out in the new century....quote the WidoMakr..never more

|So I download the Huricane Liquifury album...another band that took stupid pills...I LOVE HURRICANE...but this album sucks donkey dick...what the hell were they thinking...another band that forgot what type of sound got them popular.oh wait.they have matured.blah blah blah...damn u hurricane...im looking for a sequel to tha amazing tune Girls are out Tonight and instead i get some lame ass crap...this album sucks! and I'd be really pissed if I spent $$$ on it... quote the WidoMakr....never more

|I love every album made by Kelly Hansen & co., this is the first I listened to. 'Young man and Reign of love' for my taste are better than 'the girls are out tonight'. The new one Liquifury is good too,the sound is a little heavier and darker, but it's still melodic hard rock. Warrant,Pink cream 69,Motley Crue and Skid Row in the past have made terrible alternative album, but Hurricane still rocks forever and after. Kelly is maybe the finest singer.
||Date: February 24, 2002 at 20:19|
|This album is a little light on the fury that made them Hurricane. It is good, just not up to par with the first two releases. 'Reign of love' is the standout track.
||Date: July 6, 2002 at 21:35|
|Wore this album out when I first got it. 'Don't Wanna Dream' is STILL to me one of the best rock ballads ever. His voice is just perfect on it. Still dig this cd in 2002. The dissapointing thing to me with Hurricane is that they had all the elements to be huge but were just a razor's edge away in the songwriting department to get over the 'another hair band' hump. Could sometimes pour on the cliches in the lyric department.

|What happened to the chick on the album cover? Is that the Walmart version? Anyway, some cool songs here, although fairly tame overall. Next to You is a cool rocker.

|Actually, the version with the chick laid out on the machine is quite the collector's item. $30+ when you can find it.
||Date: August 18, 2002 at 15:24|
|I got the cassette with the naked bitch on the machine, who wants it? Oh, by the way pretty decent second album!

|Ok ok, I'll settle it now: Hurricane 1985 was far FAR ahead of their time, image and music. Sweet album. Hurrican-Over the Edge is held up by one song 'I'm on to You' and that's about it ('Give me an Inch' rips too)'Slave to Thrill' is their first all the way through RIPPER! Every song is awesome with at least 5 or 6 standouts. As for 'Liquifury,' damn good mix of old and just a little 'new.' I'm proud of the boys, they still rip. That opinion should be universal. SEE YA

|Aunque tiene una gran voz el Kelly, no me convencen los temas, para mi un disco correctito..
||Date: January 14, 2003 at 1:09|
|Hurrican on thsi album are 'In the Fire'. Another excellent release with the voice of an angel Kelly Hansen singing his heart out.You cannot go wrong with this band. I can't compare it to their other releases, they are all great. BUY!!!!

|And let's not forget that in addition to Monsieur Hansen, you've got the most awesome Doug Aldrich on guitar. SMOKIN'!!!!
||Date: June 29, 2003 at 5:22|
|Very solid hardrock release here...Some serious hardcore riffing from mr. Aldrich. Trademark sound to his playing...If you're into typical sounding hardrock ala 1990 you won't go wrong with 'Slave to the Thrill'...

||Date: November 11, 2003 at 14:36|
|Oh man, what a disappointment!!! I just got this disc recently, nowhere NEAR as good as their other cds!!! Doug Aldrich has a great sound, and is a great player, but the songwriting is weak compared to their other cds. Liquifury does make amends to it though!!!
||Date: November 16, 2003 at 11:24|
|I was at first dissapointed by this record. But now i consider this as a solid record. I miss here some stand out songs, from this point 'Over the edge' is a lot better. For Hansen and Aldrich( he is really great here) fans a must, the rest check out before buy. BTW I have copy with chick....collector item?.....cool

|the pic with the girl is made by the same dude that did 'cherry pie' for warrant. anyhow, hurricane understands the art of making catchy songs.

||Date: April 29, 2004 at 1:40|
|Probably Hurricane's best record but I really like over the edge and take what you want also. Heard the new record liquidfury and thought it stinked. The cover with the girl on it is so much better than the neutered one. Doug aldrich is a great player saw him with whitesnake. In the fire is the best song here.

|A lot more slicker than the last album, but the songwriting is a little better. They add some good ballads this time, such as 'Don't Wanna Dream' and 'Next To You' would have been a big hit in the hands of one of the bigger bands of this genre. 8/10
||Date: July 15, 2004 at 22:18|
|A bit watered down compared to the first 2 releases. 'Next To You' is a real cool rocker and should've been huge, but the rest play it real close to the vest and come off a bit restrained. Good stuff, but could've been better.
||Date: January 21, 2005 at 15:04|
|First seven songs have good time, but next : song#08 - FX - 1:06, song#09 - In The Fire - 3:29, song#10 - Let It Slide - 4:37, song#11 - Lock Me Up - 3:42, song#12 - Smiles Like A Child - 4:15. ENJOY!
||Date: January 25, 2005 at 0:13|
|Unlike some other people, I consider it probably their most balanced album. Obviously T.W.Y.W. it's striking, but this one is probably more melodic(ex. Reign of Love, Temptation) wich are amazing songs. Unlike the 'Over The Edge', the listening here, gets pleasant at once and aside a few fillers: overall a great cd, hard rock/melodic metal at its best. By the way if you can find it with the naked woman don't miss it cause that's the precious One!!!!
||Date: February 12, 2005 at 22:29|
|Yum! I wish I had the alternate cover with the lady on it!!! Either way, this is easily the most consistent Hurricane album, best musicianship and as always stellar vocals. One thing missing? A few more killer tracks! 'Temptation' is the best they ever recorded and a perfect hard rocker. 'Young man' is awesome too, as is 'Next to you' to a smaller degree. 'Smiles like a child' is killer too, but they just needed a few more commercial gems. Great solid album though.

|I found the alt cover with the chick on it in a hole in the wall for $5....By far my best find....

|I keep looking for the banned cover. Going on 10+ years I've been trying to find it. When this was first released I had the banned cover in my hands and decided to get something else that day. I went back the next week and could only find the 'machine' cover. I always go to shop old cd's with a buddy and we both race to the 'h's' to see if the banned cover is there. I think I might get depressed once I finally get it. I'm too cheap to buy it off ebay.

||Date: October 13, 2006 at 11:19|
|I like this album just as much as Over The Edge its just a bit more main stream. Reign Of Love is the standout track on the disc In The Fire is a good tune as well. I spent $55 for the disc with the nude cover for those who are curious to know. I give this a 9.5 rating.
||Date: November 24, 2006 at 2:41|
|This and the EP are close to my favs of this band. Aldrich can do know wrong in my opinion. His tone is fabulous and the rest of the band follow suite extremely well. 10x better than Over the Edge.

|My favorite HURRICANE cd. I think this one's a lot better than the first two. I;m not saying that the other two suck's... NO! They rule, but I prefer this one just a little bit. However, all of them are great, Hard Rock at it best! Get'em all! 10/10

|Not so good for fans of catchy pop metal. Good vibe but average songs. Best track - 6.
||Date: September 26, 2007 at 12:58|
|One of the most overrated album in the history of glam-metal. Kelly Hansen and Doug Aldrich are playing good but the songwriting is pretty average. They sure need a better producer to create hits tracks. While the AC/DC driven track, "Reign of Love", and DOKKEN-style, "Temptation" are quite good, the rest can't live up to my expectation. Get this only if it's cheap, and avoid if you're looking for a high-quality hard rock composition.
||Date: September 26, 2007 at 13:25|
|Nobody rated this one very high. This is boring, a big dissapointment after the brilliant OVER THE EDGE.
||Date: November 8, 2007 at 22:12|
||Date: May 30, 2008 at 15:10|
|Now this is more like it. Of course, I knew and loved Doug Aldrich from the fantastic Lion disc's so I expected this to be good. I was wrong....it was fantastic. Doug is such a talent with the guitar and a perfect match with Kelly Hanson. This is pure melodic bliss. 92/100
||Date: October 31, 2009 at 21:52|
|A good disc. In fact a very good disc. I'm particularly fond of Next to You and Lock Me Up but there are hardly any filler tracks here. Nicely produced album and with Doug Aldrich you can't go wrong.
||Date: November 18, 2009 at 1:11|
|This was okay, the ep and over the edge were better. love aldrich, but preferred sarzo in hurricane.

|Some songs of this album got a radio airing moment back in the day and for some people it happens to be the band's best effort(for me it goes like their 2 previews ones but more solid)...the highlights are "Reing Of Love","Next To You"( ),"Don't Wanna Dream"(nice strong ballad),"In The Fire"(the best cut of the album IMO),"Lock Me Up"(probably the second best shot of the album)& "Smile Like A Child"(a good rocking endind song)...recommended...88/100

|excellent hair metal release by HURRICANE with amazing sound and musicianship!the heavierriffs are gone and a more commercial hard rockin approach is obvious .the result is songs like "dance little sister","lock me up","next to you" and "dont wanna dream".a must have for sure

|solid and great hard u s record in the vein of tangier.but honestly not more.i have a big preference for tangier.i m not a big fan of the voice of kelly hansen.so i will sell this cd on my future auctions on e bay in july.(japanese version with the banned cover).no bonus tracks on this version.

|1990 was Peak Hair-Metal. And I mean that the way economists mean Peak Oil. It was at its maximum visibility, having shed much of the stigma from the Satanic Panic and the PMRC kerfuffle of its early years. It now dominated MTV, ruled the halls at suburban high schools, and even some pretty lower-rung bands were getting airplay on AOR radio. And into this world Hurricane launched their second album, after having a pretty big hit with "I'm On To You" two summers before, at least as far as Headbangers' Ball and Z-Rock went. All the key ingredients for late-stage glam are here: chops-heavy guitars, strong vocals that are smooth but not TOO smooth, big hooks balanced by a sleazy attitude, big production, and that steady thump-thump-thump.
|From: Doghouse Reilly

|If you were riding around blasting Z-Rock in 1990—or Hair Nation in 2022—and any of these songs came on, you wouldn't turn it off, or even down. You'd probably be tickled to hear something a little more obscure. Doug is of course an ace guitarist, and Kelly—well, no wonder the guy got the Foreigner job. However, if you listen with a sober, critical ear, the songs themselves are pretty generic. It could be Hurricane, or Heaven's Edge, or XYZ, or a couple hundred other bands who were no worse, but no better than any of the others. A fun listen made more fun by the fact that you likely haven't heard these songs four trillion times in the ensuing years, but ... there's always a "but" with a band like this. "But" you kinda have to switch your brain off for maximum enjoyment. Case in point: lead single "Dance Little Sister." I guess they were going for "slinky" with this half-time, strip-club shuffle, but I'd describe it more as "lumbering," and with some truly cringey lyrics.
