Who'd have guessed this album existed?! I only got it a short while ago and don't really know the story. Whether it's a second previously unreleased album recorded around 1991, or if it was actually recorded in 1998? I don't know. Either way, it's very different to the debut. There were obvious fillers and obvious gems on the debut. On this one, you get more consistent hard rock and no real terrible tracks. I prefer the debut for the gem tracks, but this is quite a decent slab of hard rock. |

This is affectionately nicknamed "Pissed to the Gills"! The cover art (not seen) shows a fish head in a urinal. (Get it now?) At any rate, this one is more in the style of Wall of Silence or Giant. Most of the songs were co-written by Brian Malone of Wall of Silence. |

The bands vocalist (Doug Weir) hooked me up with a cdr of this album and I think it is better than the first one. Just a great piece of hard rock that came out (in 1998 no less) at a time when it was hard to find music of this style. This one seems hard to find, so I recommend picking it up if you come across one. |

Hey! thanks for all the great comments! We had a great time making this CD. The producer was Jim Huff from Wall of Silence ,we worked with Brian as well on a lot of the tunes. It was recorded between 93 - 98 and remixed by Mike Carroll (our old road mnger) who works at Glenn Gould studios. We may reissue this CD if there's enough interest, so if you want the whole thing check the download sites or Send notes to syre_98@hotmail.com Cheers Thanks, Doug Weir, Syre |

I didnt like this disc, and still don't, but don't care to get rid of it, cause ive never seen another one, Debut smoked this by far, just my opinon, if you for some strange reason have never heard Syre, and your for whatever other strange reason on here reading about them, and another way fucked up incident occurs that you decide you r going to track down a Syre disc, might as well make their 1st disc, you wont b able to find this one, and when you do, you will be pissed it isnt as good! |
