October 24, 2020: ONE WEEK REMAINING in the Annual Heavy Harmonies Donation Drive!

Donations stand at covering 63% of the site's annual expenses... so close and yet so far. The annual donation drive is what keeps the site free for everyone so that I'm only pestering you once a year rather than running ads year round.

If you are not in a position to contribute (which I fully understand), please disable your ad-blocker on heavyharmonies.com. When you click through any of the eBay links, if you buy something on eBay, Heavy Harmonies will get a tiny commission.

Donation buttons are shown below. There is a thread on the HH forum that explains the perks for donating at the $20 and $50 levels.

Thank you for supporting the Heavy Harmonies community!

-Dan

If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Alannah Myles CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. EPs and CD-singles from Alannah Myles are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

I wore my cassette out. I loved this cd when i was younger now wish i had it on cd. She has some really great vocals on this album. I can't believe it got shelved for years before being released.

Great singer, great album. 'Black Velvet' everyone knows, but there is much more to this than that one song, 'Kickstart My Heart' being one example of the rockier material, while 'Lover Of Mine' demonstrates the softer side with a sublime ballad. Personally, I would rate this debut up there with the likes of Chrissy Steele, Darby Mills & Lee Aaron's s/t as my fave female Canuck releases and that is saying something.

From: Dave Stamos Date: May 2, 2005 at 5:57
