Often rated as a "bad" album but I kinda like it...Some exciting arrangements from time to time...

Sadly overproduced album that tries so hard you want it to work, but at the end of the day you just have to be honest with yourself and admit defeat.

I still like Menace to Society better, but this is by no means a bad album. Just a different style to it...hey it could be worse, it's not grunge...

Great album. Not as raw as the other Lizzy releases but very good and my favorite Lizzy album. Pick this one up!

Yes, it's different, but a great album anyway. 'Master of disguise', the song, is a Borden classic.

This is a very good release, i prefer visual lies, but lizzy experiments here and he pulls it off, these songs would be heavier live and still kick some ass, personal faves are- love is a crime, be one of us and we got the power. lizzy shows his talent here at songwriting and shows a diversity and talent for songwriting that many others would like but lack, good one lizzy.

A bunch of guest musicians, horns, weak songwriting, stupid f**king gospel choir background vocals ???--I personally remember this one being a huge dissapointment when it came out.Disguise' is just an experimental solo album (which i don't need). The title track was always the one bright spot here along with David Micheal Philips' playing.I heard Lizzy' awhile back and he seemed to be in love with that ultra-heavy downtuned bullsh*t guitar sound thats popular today-Hopefully that sh*t will end .

I'm not familiar with Lizzy's body of work but I gave this one a go. I really liked the musical quality of the disc and 'Love is a crime' was a cool slab of commercial hard rock, but overall this was just IMO decent well played hard rock - nothing special.

I saw Lizzy on this tour even though I wasn't really a fan at the time (I was dragged along by a friend who was a Lizzy diehard and didn't want to go alone) and I have to admit he/they put on one helluva show. It was pretty cool to see so many fists in the air during "Me Against The World." I guess this was Lizzy's attempt at doing a big-time rock opera/concept album, the results are kinda mixed but at least the show turned me into a fan and I checked out some of their other albums afterwards..

i'd never actually heard of lizzy at the time(can't say they got much play in australia)but a cousin had a whole heap of metal blade label tapes given to him so he gave me this one to listen to as he thought i'd like it.like it! i fucking loved itthe title track i think may just be his best song great guitars and superb vocals from start to finnish i think it's very underrated and we got the power should've been a big 80's hit i also love the way he sings never too young got my hands on the cd the 25th anniversary on with the dvd so even better watching what went on in making the album

very good release by LIZZY BORDEN!in this one things have lighten a bit and i can see a more commercial hard rock approach that i really like.you can find some great songs and the level of musicianship is ok."master of disquise","love is a crime","one false move" and "under the rose" the highlights.i like it a lot

Great cd, between this and Visual Lies 2 GREAT cds. This I think was a solo cd with a few members of the LIZZY BORDEN GROUP involved as back up.Love is a crime is a really good commercial rocker ,as is Be one of us , Psychodrama and We got the power. Waiting in the wings is a good ballad. Recommended.

An album with a Glam feel in the songs(LB was more into Heavy Metal at the beginning of its career)...tracks 1,3,4,5,6,10 & 12 are in my book...enjoyable stuff in here...87/100
