First comment? Very nice! I remember this CD (cassette tape) coming out back in the day for one song only: ROCK ME TONIGHT. One of Billy's most recognizable tracks... Why on Earth did Capitol Records decide to quit making the album? This sucker has been out of print forever and warrants big bucks on Ebay (on CD format). I saw Def Leppard open for Squier in 1983 just before Pyromania hit it big... Needless to say that didn't last long!

Wow! Big bucks on ebay....nah! couldn't sell it I love it too much. Luckily I bought all the Billy Squier stuff on CD ages ago when it was all available (phew). This is a big improvement on the slightly too glossy (but still great) Emotions.. album. Big drums are back and so is the edge that was on display on Don't Say No but it falls the tiniest bit short. Having said that all the songs are bang on..The standouts for me are Eye on You and Rock Me Tonight.

Este cd, me marcó la vida...All night long...te patea el traser...Rock me tonite...es un clásico...este tipo debió llegar mucho más arriba...10 puntos...

Bought this on vinyl for 0,5 euros. Great buy considering the price. Nice pop rock with some 70's rock and AOR elements. Tracks 2,5,6 are my favorites

When I saw the MTV video 'Rock Me Tonight' I knew Squier had officially 'Jumped the Shark'. As a red blooded rocker watching, I kept waiting for Richard Simmons to jump out of the closet turning it into a sweating to the oldies 'flame rock' exercise video. A career killer with 80% of the video showing him rolling around in his bedroom which rendered Freddy Mercury powerless under his spell. This is a average release IMO with everyone of his follow albums going downhill after 'Don't Say No' ,which besides it's Nigel Tufnel solos holds up over time.

Great album by Billy but the video of the song "Rock Me Tonight" killed him , i'm joking guys!...this release gave some famous status to the man but only for a brief moment of his career(actually i think he's been underrated as an artist most of his time, shamely)anyway,"All Night Long" is a killer starter & "Rock Me Tonight" was the "hit",obviously the song had a cheesy video but nowadays has become a classic and everybody say about "the dancing" that Squier performed,"Eye On You" is a song along with "Take A Look Behind Ya" which is a rocky one,"(Another) 1984" is fantastic,"Can't Get Next To You" is another shot,"Hand-Me-Downs" is a highlight & "Sweet Release" ends the album pleasantly...forget about the video, forget about the dancing, this album rocks!.94/100

Probably my favorite Squier disc. No filler on this one! Steinman did a great job layering the sound and making these tracks really strong - and the writing was strong to begin with. About the video...much has been said, and I know how I felt back then but I am older and wiser now. Good music is good music, and this disc shines above just about everything else at that time, certainly as required as VH's "1984" for true rock fans. A mature, rocking album that holds up.

Anybody remember the old Simon toy? The lights flash, the buzzers sound, and you have to repeat the pattern, kinda like the very earliest predecessor to Guitar Hero? Well, the company came out with a new, smaller (modernized" version of the Simon a few years ago, and my little cousin got oen for Christmas that year ... and the chirping keyboards on "Rock Me Tonite" sound exactly like this cheap toy. Squier had some good tunes up to this point, and a handful afterward tooo, but what a shitty song!
