This was Billy's last album from the 80s, and its a very good one at that. This one is a little bit harder than his previous albums, but its still got all the elements that made him so big in the early part of the decade: crunchy guitar riffs, hooky choruses, and a ton of enthusiasm. Definitely worth checking out.

From: Scandinavia Date: October 7, 2003 at 11:41

Hola, Robert!

BorderPatrol, your English language and grammar skills are laughable.

From: Nick C Date: December 16, 2004 at 15:23
Wow some comments! Lets get back to the music eh? Despite sales being down on previous albums this album still shows that Billy had talent in buckets. Kicking off with the excellent Rock Out/Punch Somebody (a sentimment for a few people above?) the adrenaline is high from the off. Stronger follows and is another brilliant track. Don't Let Me Go is a great ballad and G.O.D. parodies the Dire Straits lyric I Want my MTV with I Want my G.O.D. Well worth anyones money.

From: Date: January 16, 2005 at 1:21
Hey Tytini you trying to score with women(or do ya play for the other team?) is laughable

From: danoq Date: August 31, 2005 at 23:15
I loved this record! I wish he would have stayed with this direction on following records. This was a nice blend to follow "Enough" which I also liked. The records that came later just showed a real lack lustre of his great songwriting skills, which is a shame because the guy has one of the most unique voices I have ever heard. I saw him on this tour and he mentioned that he was having tons of hangups with the women in his life. That may explain why the next few records weren't as good.

Another excellent album. Two more great Squier ballads grace this album "Don't Let Me Go" & "Mine Tonight." Rockers also abound ala "Don't Say You Love Me", & "Rock Out/Punch Somebody". While "Stronger" proves to be an excellent mid-tempo track. Buy it.

From: bladerunner Date: April 20, 2006 at 1:15
This is good album. "Don't Say You Love Me" and "Rock Out/Punch Somebody" are probably my favorite tracks on this one.

Very good album with melodic rock songs all over and with some touches of AOR here and there..the way Billy does...fave tracks "Rock Out/Punch Somebody","Stronger"(AOR),"Don't Say You Love Me","Tied Up" & "(I Put A)Spell On You"...by the way very good comment danoq(2005) ...93/100

It's 1989, hair-metal is now mainstream, and Billy Squier is in danger of becoming a has-been, an AOR relic from the early '80's, his last hit the steaming synth-pop turd "Rock Me Tonight" back in '84. So what do you do? You guessed it; Squier updated his trademark sound with a Sunset Strip strut and amped-up guitars, and even an album title that announces "I'm reinventing myself." The sound isn't too much of a stretch for him anyway, so it doesn't sound too contrived. Big his "Don't Say You Love Me" borrows fromm "Paradise City,' while "Tied Up" thumps allong in sleazy fashion. There's some filller, like even Squier's best albums, and the only other thing I can think of about it at the moment is that "Mine Tonight" was on a mix-tape a chick gave me one time.
