Sometimes kind of funky in parts and sometimes straight ahead rock. Shot O Love kicks the album off in fine style, I think Billy always has excellent lead tracks on all his albums. This for me is possibly his best album since D.S.No. Lady With a Tenor Sax is my least favourite and it's still very good! Love is the Hero must be the standout track..or maybe Powerhouse...Til It's Over continues in the fine tradition of Billy ballads!

I really liked this record. I think he belted out some real strong vocals here. It showed a sense of maturity to his writing from the older releases. Unfortunately times were changing around him and straight up rock albums were just about to phase out. there was a burst of metal then it was basically over for alot of great artist like this. I'd like to see him get back in the game and do some big shows. But he may have trouble even selling out large clubs now. But the tunes are still great! B+

Again, another fine release by Squier. Probably the best tune here is the playful opening track but don't stop there. Other cool tunes to be heard, include "Lady with the Tenor Sax" & the heartfelt ballad "All We Have To Give". This album is pure 80's rock so don't hesitate to relive the glory days.

Brilliant album!!!..still conserving the commertial side of his previews one("Sings Of Life")but miles better IMHO...we have amazing songs such as "Shot O' Love" then comes "Love Is The Hero" & "Lady With A Tenor Sax"(these 2 songs had a fantastic musician, the one and only Freedie Mercury of Queen as a backing vocalist!!!)..."Break The Silence","Powerhouse","Lonely One" & "Wink Of An Eye" are also great...highly recommended release...89/100

Billy continued making strong music on this one, with 'Shot O Love' absolutely essential. Some very good, more insightful mellow tracks as well ('Til Its Over', All We Have To Give). He mixes it up between power pop (Love is the Hero), hard rock, and truly great mellow tunes. A strong release, still worthy of attention after the excellent album 'Signs of Life'.
