Generally not their best album...Too modern sounding but it contains some very peculiar songs that are bound to make you laugh. "Vaseline Biz" must have one of the weirdest licks in time...Sounds very Frank Zappa influenced..."Mr. Kaschei..." is another crazy track of pure listening delight. On "Six Dildo..." Mathias incorporates a dildo in his playing & performs a very interesting interpretation of a banjo samba!!! "My new Haircut" is a good hook-based track...Recommendable! |

I actually have an original copy of this one and am glad that this is one of the two originals I have... 'cause this could be my fave of theirs. It's really hard to tell because the quality does not falter on any CD, but when you have a dude singing about not giving a fuck about some dolphins in a net... well, you can be offended or you can just smile and appreciate the strange music at hand. Again, very amusing and odd melodic metal. |

Wierd and wacked out but in a kind of posey "look how funny we can be" sort of way ..... never really got into this even after a few plays, I bought it in Hebden Bridge March 24th 2001 (how's that for memory) from a bargain bin . I had heard the occassional track by the band which were okay but this put me off investigating them further. Is it really rare as mentioned above ?? if so I might be saying goodbye to it. |
