ZInny sure was influenced by thin lizzy ...A bit too weak for me to be honest...but it has its moments..(private hell) |

I tried to add this CD to HeavyHarmonies about a year ago... Anyway, I agree with tomcat; it has it moments. "Call of the Wild" and "Citizen of Wasteland" are my favourite tracks. |

Zinny was never the greatest singer but always delivered with a real attitude. The best songs here are the ones where he lets loose. Others sound a bit flat. Not a bad album. 6.5/10 |

Its ok. It's typical 1988 LA sleaze glam, in an almost Faster Pussycat (self-titled) vein... only it was released in 1994. Yeah, it wasn't exactly released at the peak moment for glam record sales now was it? It's perfectly... er... 'average' - not crap, not exactly good either. The missing element of Skold and Cody's writing is what certainly separates this from his Shotgun Messiah album. If you can get it real cheap, then hey, why not... otherwise don't bother - its just so... average. |

I'm gonna make a correction over my previous judgement of the album. I've been listening to it a lot recently, and it's grown on me a great deal. It's still not a work of art, but it's a good rockin' album filled with some great dirty riffs. Certainly anyone who liked the first Shotgun Messiah album will enjoy it. It certainly gets extra points for showing NO signs of alternative-leanings even though it was released in 1994! It's just reliable glam to the max! 8/10 |

Not even a remote scratch on his Shotgun Messiah days, this is pretty bad IMO. Poor, forgettable and weak songs, except for 'Private Hell', which is a great song. I wouldn't recommend this album, even to fans of the Shotgun Messiah debut... |

Reminds me of a heavier Blackeyed Susan. Not all that great. Of course I got it cuz of Messiah. I thought Monkeyhouse Call of the Wild and Youngblood we're the highlights. I hear the new cd is supposed to be realy good. Can't wait to get it or hear it. diktater66@hotmail.com |
