There were 3 versions of this released. This version from FM Revolver in the UK included Ken Tamplin on Guitar. He is not credited on the other versions. The track mixes are all different as well. The FM version is a must have for collectors. Excellent melodic rock and Jeff Fenholt's voice is awesome. |

Joshua Perahia is undeniably a very gifted guitarist, but his skills seem pretty much wasted on this lackluster effort. Yes, there are worse Christian melodic metal albums out there, but there are also much better. |

M ALLEN IS OUT OF HIS MIND FROM DRUGS, BECAUSE THE SONGS ON JOSHUA SURRENDER, AND THE GUITARS ARE INCREDIBLE. I HAPPEN TO KNOW THIS IS ONE OF HIS BEST SELLING RECORDS, TOPPED WITH THE BEST VOCALIST ON EARTH, JEFF FENHOLDT. THERE IS NO ALBUM BETTER, AND I HAVE REVIEWS THAT GIVE THIS ALBUM 10 OUT OF 10, NOT TO MENTION, GET THE KERRANG MAGAZINES FROM THIS ERA. THE ALBUM WAS NUMBER ONE FOR MONTHS BEATING BANDS LIKE, METTALICA, AC/DC, DOKKEN, JOURNEY, PRIEST, AND PINK FLOYD. CHECK ANY KERRANG MAGAZIN |

I like both this one and "Intense Defense"!!! Simply great vocals here, that remind a bit of Jimi Jamison (Survivor), in my opinion. Anyone out there who can give me a comment for the first Joshua album ("the hand is quicker than the eye")? |
From: Rycheage | Date: May 16, 2004 at 16:57 |
Melodic keyboard driven hard rock at it's finest. Accurately described as mid 80s Survivor (Jim Jamison era) meets King Kobra (Thrill of a Lifetime), plenty of awesome keyboards, great vocals, and plenty melody- even reminds me of Icon's early work. By far Joshua's finest moment! An AOR MUST!!! |

this is a good album.but i like intense defense better.just a better sound i think.but this one is still better than most out there. |

ECXELLENT!!!!!I just got it. Hard, proud and with the just ammount of keyboards, outstanding vocals. Like a lighter version of ICON but with more AOR-oriented vocals. Payed 20 bucs and worth every single penny.FOR ALL THOSE WHO LIKE HARD AOR: HIGLY RECOMENDED!!!!! |

Great album. But I must say that i prefer Intense Defense.. and not least because of Mr. Rob Rock! Totally wonderful voice!! Anyway, this is quite enjoyable too. Only complain would be the mixing, this is strangely mixed a little too high pitched sound. IMO. |

Hello Again Boys!!! Album muy corto pero los que están si que son buenas. La producción/mezcla está floja. "Hold On" y "Rocking the World" son tremendas, por ahí los solos algunos repetitivos. Buen album, vale la pena. 8.5/10 |

Great album by the "maestro" Joshua Perahia plus 2 members of another mega band named Shout (Ken Tamplin & Loren Robinson but wait Shout came after this)anyway fave tracks "Surrender Love" a piece of art!,"Your Love Is Gone","Hold On","Rocking The World","Stay Alive" and "Loveshock"..98% of the album honestly is fantastic!(not 2 say that the whole thing is a bomb!)..as i wrote back in 2005 to my friend Arnold Lancelot, there's another release with new mixes that also Delbert commented about too..in general lines, buy it the way you find it!,won't be dissapointed...93/100 |
