The pairing of highly-skilled guitar-slinger Joshua Perahia and vocalist extraordinaire Rob Rock (Angelica/Impellitteri) was a match made in melodic metal heaven. The guitars blaze away, laying down some sizzling hooks, while Rob's voice keeps the melodies soaring. It's not hard to aruge that this is one of the best Christian commercial metal albums of the late 80s.

Colosal discazo melodico el favorito del q

From: Rycheage Date: February 7, 2004 at 19:29
This is a fairly monstrous slab of melodic rock. No two ways about it. Dynamic, great production, and all the musicians are playing out of their skins. This amalgam of talent has put together a collection of memorable melodic rock belters, with guitar fury tempered by a subtle blanket of keyboards that are there in the background but not overpowering. The album has a feel similar to Yngwie Malmsteen's 'Odyssey' album released the same year with that magic mix between keyboards and guitars.

Excellent stuff, a foggy production job but some stunning lead-guitar work and killer AOR tunes. "Crying out for Love" is a great track, and "Stand Alone" a killer ballad. He had another album about 5 years ago called "Something to Say" as well, which was more guitar-based, but still with the killer songs.

One of those discs that has always been crying out for a re-issue and 15 years after the original it finally arrived. Bad Reputation have done a good job of it aswell (as with the excellent Craaft debut) although there are no bonuses on this one (not that it needs any!!!). This is another of those must have discs, as it contains some absolute fabulous material throughout. So if Top quality MR is what you're after and you have a few pennies to burn, this is the baby to go for.

Awesome, totally awesome album!! Rob Rock at his finest (as always) and Joshua is playing from the heart! Not a single filler note there! Incredible songs, full of nice melody.

Claro que si Rafo. Gran disco, con teclados de ensueño y temazos como Only Yesterday o Crying out for love.

From: LS1JAY Date: December 25, 2005 at 14:53
This album is a classic! Besides Joshua's guitar work, you also have Rob Rock on vocals! If you don't have this one, do yourself a favor and find it!

Absolutely superb album - I have both the original and the reissue (the original sounds much better, less bassy) Reach Up has the coolest wall of vocals I've ever heard And I've heard a lot!

New cd out called resurrection!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: May 8, 2013 at 15:19
Good album but still it doesn't beat the "Surrender" one(it seems that the aforemetioned album is Joshua's best effort up to date IMO)...in here you can listen to some goodies in the shape of "Reach Up","I've Been Waiting"(nice AOR),"Crying Out For Love","Look To The Sky" & "Don't You Know"...84/100

What a record. There's maybe one or two fillers but the rest is great.
