The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Aviary CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. If you're into Pomp/ Sympho style stuff, this is a must have disc, a classic. Brad Love is an excellent vocalist and the rest of the band are no slouches. Songwise very strong throughout (Soaring, Feel The Heart, Maple Hall). Signed to Epic at the time, this was badly promoted (the band was put on as support act to The Stranglers instead of Queen - Duhhh) so wasn't a huge smash it should have been. Brilliant re-issue by Rewind, so now all of you can go get it and make up for lost time.

Hugely addictive pomp featuring the operatic Brad Love, who warbles like Queen's Freddy Mercury at times, and Dennis DeYoung of Styx at others. If you like Queen, Robby Valentine, ELO, Styx, Trillion, Russia or Mozart, don't scratch your chin at this one... go out and get it immediately. Playful, adventurous, dynamic and full of just about everything that is absent in today's music! Worth it, for Stephen B. Allen's liner notes alone!

great aor piece for those who are seeking in this category.

Absolute blinder of an album!!! Brad Love has some of the most distinctive vocals ever(although my missus reckons he sounds like Chris De Burgh!!!????!!). Puddles is an excellent lesson in whimsey in music. Maple Hall rocks and the rest of the album falls kind of between the two. Off the wall time changes, vocal lines but everything interlaced with pure harmony/melody. I've loved this album since the day I bought it years ago!

NO ENTIENDO COMO HAY TAN POCOS COMENTARIOS SOBRE ESTA 8º MARAVILLA,ESTE DISCO ES LA MADRE DEL CORDERO DEL POMP ROCK DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS. BASICO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From: juan carlos Date: November 20, 2007 at 10:00
I Will Hear" mis preferidas tambien. Bonitas armonías pero muy pomp para mi gusto. 8/10

Brilliant album for lovers of Robby Valentine - staggering considering it was released in 1979!! Never got the attention it deserved at the time - a shame.

From: Swazi Date: May 23, 2008 at 9:28
Why is the rating so low ?? This is a phantastic piece of music ! But I don't really have anything to add to what has been said on top. Get it if you can and if you like the above mentioned bands, esp. Robby Valentine ! The CD is extremely hard to find, but here you can download the MP3's in a very good quality: http://cdbaby.com/cd/aviary2 It is worth every penny.

The rating is low because it doesn´t kick ass?

From: george_the_jack Date: May 19, 2009 at 10:44
The rating is simply low because some of the users do not know what Pomp is...and what this album is for the history of Pomp music!
