| Good Hard Rock, Hard Rock competente algunos cortes con ese olor a modernidad alternando con otros con sabor a 70's como en su epoca con Rainbow algunos que cruzan el AOR(In Your Eyes claro ejemplo y quiza lo mejor de la placa) y claro metiendo bastante melodia a muchos cortes donde encontramos varias baladas, lo que espere mas era del cover de los Bonfire no llega a la magia del original muy bajo, despues buen trabajo 8/10.

| JLT got back to doing what he does best. Singing the melodic rockers & ballads most fans have grown to know & love. Any fan of JLT, especially his early solo work, must pick this up immediately.

| Good solid album. Not as good as Sunstorm, IMO, but there are moments very close to it. The title track is great but the show stealer, for me, is 'In your eyes'. Beautiful ballad and one of my favourite songs so far this year. A couple of fillers and 'Sweet Obsession' is nowhere near as good as Bonfire's version, but overall this is a very, very good melodic rock album and it's good to see JLT doing what he does best.

| The only song I dont like is 'Stroke of Midnight'. The rest is good solid well played melodic rock. I actually prefer 'Love Is On Our Side' to 'In Your Eyes', but both are great ballads. 'Blood Red Sky' is classic Rainbow sounding and awesome IMO. I also love the opening 3 songs esp the title track...just wish the end didnt fade away - it should have rocked. What a tease! Highly recommended 9/10

| Fridaymusic (usa label) has released this record including both the european and japan bonustrack and an extra track called:'freedom' wings' (from 'holy man').13 tracks.

| Mr. Turner, based on his unique voice and with a little help from his friends (Ritchie Blackmore, Jim Peterik, Roger Glover among others), he tried, but nothing remarkable happened. . I was always opposite to the multi-collective albums and this because I strongly believe that these efforts lead to a lack of rhythm, style and, finally, substance. Nevertheless, Sunstorm’s 2nd album is on it’s way and that’s what I call “good news”.

| Very accessable slab of music delivered here. His melodic tendancies dominate most of this disc. Also, I hear the remnants of when Joe was in Deep Purple on the track "Stroke of Midnight". Not to be outdone, the track "Cruel" sounds straight from any of Rainbow's 80's albums & is just as smooth as those old-time favorites "Stone Cold" & "Street of Dreams". Overall, no complaints cause this what Joe does best. Lastly, this disc is recommended to any fan of Joe's Rainbow or Purple days.

| JOE LYNN TURNER ALWAYS SURPRISE, HIS QUALITY ONCE AGAIN ON THIS ALBUM, "LOVE IS LIFE" WHAT A PERFECT MELODIC SONG AN ANTHEM TO HARD-AOR SONG, "IN YOUR EYES" THE PERFECT TURNER BALLAD SONG, "BLOOD RED SKY" REMINDS RAINBOW ERA, "CRUEL" GREAT MELODIC SONG, THE COVER "SWEET OBSESSION" MADE A GREAT JOB, "LOVE IS ON OUR SIDE" ANOTHER EXCELENT BALLAD. Brilliant release (when not???) of the mighty Joe Lynn Turner...the "voice" gives us in here another set of great songs such as "Love Is Life"(far the best one of the album),"Second Hand Life","In Your Eyes"(nice ballad),"Blood Red Sky","Over The Top","Sweet Obsession"(nice but not so oustanding cover of Bonfire)& "Two Lights"...get it!!!.93/100

| great release by JLT once again!the musicians involved are stars and the result quite remarkable!the songs are exactly what you would expect and some good moments here like "in your eyes","second hand life" and "love is on our side"!i believe that this one can stand in every hard rock collection!
