I like this album a lot. It doesnt sound a lot like the NWOBHM anymore, its have more a American sound to it (same what SAVAGE, GIRLSCHOOL, SAMSON, DEF LEPPARD did with their releases of 1982/1984)but the songs are just great, and thats whats counts, NO????

From: Gar Date: August 11, 2003 at 19:08
Fantastic album! Deinitely has a more American sound than their previous releases, but it ain't a bad thing. "Tides" is the standout track for me, but all the songs are really good. The cd is hard to come by(I still only have the lp), but its worth searching for.

I have the first albums on my alltime favorite list, but this is/was really a dissapointment.

From: Axelinger Date: August 12, 2003 at 11:45
Serious, I don't think any fans of the Tygers were too impressed with the idea of Fred Purser(Who?) as a replacement for the great John Sykes... Things became even worse when original members, Rocky and Robb Weir bolted ship, leaving Deverill and Brian Dick to fill out the line-up with considerably lesser-knowns... The current incarnation, with Robb Weir and a bunch of young bucks is an even bigger embarrassment to the memory of a once-great band...

From: andreasb Date: April 4, 2004 at 13:46
This one was absolutely disappointing. The record company wanted them to crack the american market and destroyed one of the great hopes at that time!

went to see this band in 81 and 82..love the first 3 albums still, one of the best nwobhm bands

From: Great Dane Date: July 19, 2004 at 22:25
The two first abums are fantastic, but the 3 is just about the worst pile of shoooot Ive ever heard. Their debut album ´fantastc.

If there is a TYGERS cd to invest in,try THE WRECK-AGE.DESERT OF NO LOVE is outstanding, and Jon Deverill is on top form.Oh ,for the mid-80s again.

From: uusiolli Date: August 15, 2004 at 18:05
More melodic than before. Some quite nice tracks, some really boring. 7/10

From: anamal Date: January 10, 2005 at 16:23
imo..this is the 1st of many duds that the tygers put out..after this they went downhil and dissapated very fast.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: January 9, 2007 at 21:12
With this album they went smoother perhaps trying to break through in the U.S.,did they?."Rendezvous" is the only track that i can recall and i like it a lot,it's very catchy. The rst of the songs? average stuff,sorry...

From: Clayton77 Date: January 9, 2007 at 23:20
I don`t agree with you, Rick. This album is highly recommended and there are couples of strong tracks in it. The Tygers-releases like "SPELLBOUND" and "The WRECK-AGE" are also brilliant!!! Really average is Tygers`first Album...but "The Cage" is awesome!!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 12, 2007 at 18:17
That's true Clayton77.Actually to say that an album by the Tygers is bad...i doubt it!.The problem is that probably they "took" the wrong direction musically talking on this one.I wrote "took" 'coz i don't really think this album is that "average" at all. Also i think the first album has its "It" that makes it appealing to a rocker at heart!!!.Anyway enjoy it the way you like!!!.

From: hair metal again Date: November 22, 2009 at 14:42
this is a strange one.i mean that it has some really impressive moments like "paris by air", "tides", "danger in paradise" and some fillers on the other hand.the sound here is not so strong and theproduction is weak.this isn t a disappointment as stated above, but a good hard rock release by a really good band

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 1, 2011 at 21:41
I must admit i was wrong in my old comments of 2007..what i really wanted to say is that even though this album is radio friendly oriented is not as consistent as the followers "The Wreck-Age" & "Burning In The Shade" but still quite a goodie...some other spinnings made me change my point of view about it ..."Rendezvous" is my favorite of the album,an all time favorite indeed, love the melody and lines of it,"Lonely At The Top","Tides","Love Potion #9","Danger In Paradise" & "Life Of Crime" are also interesting songs...90/100...yes guys,recommended...
