| Good. But the first album and OPERATION MINDCRIME are my 2 favorites from this band. Don't get me wrong, this album have my favorite song in it (Take Hold Of The Flame, but the rest is nothing extra-ordinary. Better find their first album or OPERATION MINDCRIME.

| I think they were still searching for their sound on this one. It shows promise but, if you are new to Ryche and Roll, start with Rage For Order then move to Mindcrime.

| Ok release (real good if you compare latest ones) from Queensryche. I don´t listen this very often, but it has it moments.

| Personalmente,despues de Operation es mi favorito,aùn sabiendo que RAGE y EMPIRE son casi perfectos.Despojàndose un tanto de las ifluencias Maiden,empiezan a mostrar algun que otro elemento progresivo,(MADNESS- SANCTUARY),un giño a lo que seria RAGE en NM 156,y las esquizitas BEFORE,DELIVERANCE,TAKE HOLD o CHILD OF FIRE, con las melodìas caraterìsticas de la banda.Como mùsicos suenan compactos,y Tate se sube al podio de los vocalistas de los 80. 9/10. carro_martin2000@yahoo.com.ar

| Forgoing the intense experimentation on Rage For Order or the overly ambitious numbers on Operation:mindcrime, The Warning is perhaps the most overlooked album in the band's entire catalog. Deciding to use James Guthrie as a producer was a bold and wise move. A constant collaborator with Pink Floyd, the influence can be seen on songs like "No Sanctuary" and the epic "Roads to Madness." Queensryche was went past the typical metal band and established a progressive pulse few others could match.

| Queensryche abandons the power metal of the debut for their more famous prog metal of this album and it works in some places and bores in others. "Take Hold Of The Flame" is a fantastic song and one of the bands best. 6/10

| Wow! What an album! Prior to this one I had only heard Mindcrime and the Queensryche EP. By far the best song on this album is: Roads To Madness, clocking in at nearly 10 minutes, but the rest is all excellent too - a very worthy second album with more to offer than the usual straight-ahead handbanger metal band.

| All of the first 5 Queensryche albums were unique. Operation:Mindcrime is their best of all time, but next to it are standing Rage for Order and this one. Warning is definately a must for everyone, can't say which song is better than the other. Progressive metal at its best. An absolute 10/10. Brilliant!!

| Wow! Glad to see I'm not alone with my thoughts on this one. I also really like the song 'Take hold of the flame'. Great metal ballad, but I don't like anything else on this disc at all. Just can't get into any of it...

| Diferente a su extraordinario album(EP) debut que era Heavy Metal, esto es más Prog. Metal. Tate está entre los grandes sin lugar a dudas y este disco lo confirma. "Warning" "En Force"(que finaliza lentamente) "Deliverance" "Before the Storm" están entre las más movidas. Aún hay reminiscencias Maiden como en el solo de "Nm 156" y demás, como que en este album estaban definiendose así mismos. La 4,6 y 8(temazo) sus temas lentos. Y finalizan con una épica "Roads to Madness". Gran disco. 8.5/10

| Queensrÿche's more progressive side begins to show with this album. A very solid progressive/traditional metal album, with excellent musicianship, top notch vocals, and well written lyrics. Some of the highlights of the album are "Warning", "No Sanctuary", and "Take Hold of the Flame". However, the self-titled EP and Operation: Mindcrime are both better than this. This album is still worth getting, however.

| Being a Ryche fan since the early years this album is by far one of their best ("Rage For Order" & the E.P. being the others). Now don't get me wrong, I think "Operation Mindcrime" & "Empire" are masterpieces also, I just prefer what the masses sometimes ignore. I'm listening to the remaster right now & it sounds freakin' amazing (especially "N M 156")!! In my opinion every song on here is killer so it's hard for me to single out my favorites so I'll just say the first 7 tracks rule...

| Their first complete album after their mini Lp and obviously offered us more consistent songs.."The Warning" is phenomenal and "Deliverance" another blast...the rest of the songs stand proud and strong.Here we started to see not only the band but the great musicianship that was flourishing to take the World by storm.90/100

| Granted my appreciation for this one comes with a splash of hindsight having not discovered Queensryche until the end of the 80's, but here we have a band and a release way way ahead of its time. Compare lyrical contents of NM156 & its bleak portrayal of our digital destinies or the lyrical beauty of RoadsToMadness to those of their contemporaries, suffice to say the thinking man's metal tag was evident from their start. Aside from those tunes already mentioned Enforce, NoSanctuary and of course the inspiring TakeHold are more than worth your coin. Prime Tate was untouchable bringing emotions rarely heard from the genre & the range and reach of his vocals were stunning! ChildOfFire & BeforeTheStorm may lack the same conviction but still manage to soar above many of that time. Label interference caused issues (NM156 was the intended album opener) & the band were fashion offenders for some time, but listening with ears not eyes reveals quality as the songs have aged well. Awesome 9/10
