|Someone let me know if this is worth buying. Queensryche has definitly "jumped the shark" since "Promised Land". Q2K was the last QR effort I bought and i'm tired of getting burnt by them. I still keep holding out hope that they'll return to that awesome band they once were. I hope this one is it.

|Well, this is the best they have done in a long time. Still, to tag this as "Mindcrime II" is asking for trouble. Lyrically, it's an extension of the first & probably just as ambitious, but how about musically? It's decent enough & does flash signs of past glories. Yes, Queensryche is on the right path, but will the next album be an "Empire II"?

|My wife just bought this for me. I was so excited. It didnt last long. The music is stellar, they did rip off some riffs from O.M. and incorperated them nicely into the songs but,What the hell has happened to Geoff Tates voice it used to be so unique now he almost sounds monotone for him. I just don't hear the feeling in his voice anymore. He can't hit a high note anymore.Sounds like hes just reading the lyrics to me. They should call this effort Operation Mindcrime II : The search for Geoff Tat

|I have to admit i was disappointed with this album at first i thought it would only be one of those albums id play every so often unlike the original, but when i played it the other day i was blown away! it was amazing! The songs were strong, the guitars great and Tate's and Pamela Moores vocals together gorgeous! If youre already familiar with the original listen to this cd with an open mind, what theyve produced is an amazing follow up to the original and an excellent album in its own right.

|Recuerdo cuando era fan de Queensryche. Rage For Order, Operation: Mindcrime, Empire, Operation: Livecrime...

Regular. 7.5/10

|Is this comparable to the first one? No. Is this a good rock record. Yes. While Geoff has lost a bit of his range, the songs stand up. You have to remember that this is 2006 and not 1986. There are some very good songs on this one: The Hands, Signs Say Go, Fear City Slide and One Foot in Hell all stand up. Don't compare. Just enjoy.

|Hard to tell what they were going for with this. What jumps out right away is the hollow, muddy production. Sounds like a modern rock mix, not the lively production that gave MC:1 such energy. The first 5 songs are excellent, but then the disc gets....dare I say it....boring. The "duet" with Dio is lackluster and in general it's hard to follow the story. I wonder if they wish they could have this one back?

|I've only heard the I'm an American song. I don't want to hear the rest. I'll just listen to the original mindcrime or Empire.
