If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Saxon CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Saxon are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Saxon, orchestral and unplugged!! Hmmm...I wasn't sure how this was gonna work tbh, as other bands that have done this type of thing, have been a bit hit and miss. Thankfully this gets the big thumbs up, especially the orchestrated versions, which really are very good indeed. Check out 'The Eagle Has Landed' and 'Broken Heroes' which both work especially well, although all the versions add an extra dimension to the originals and make for a really enjoyable listen. Of the re-records, 'Militia Guard' (which is not listed as being re-recorded, but obviously is) has never sounded better and the acoustic version of 'Frozen Rainbow' is in a word, superb. This is excellently produced too, with a lush, melodic and powerful sound bringing out the best in all the tracks. As a bonus, the 2 CD version features an extra disc of the previously released 'Heavy Metal Thunder' re-records, so if you haven't already got that, this is an excellent way of getting 2 very good Saxon releases in one go.
