This is a great Saxon album after the slightly dissapointing Destiny! I can´t name a song I don´t like on this one. The sound is much heavier than before in my opinion, and there´s a lot of real hard rocking energy for example in tracks 1, 2, 5, 6, 8 & 11. Requiem is perhaps the high point of the album. Spend your money on this one, you won´t be dissapointed!! |

"Requiem (We Will Remember)" is easily the BEST song on this album. It took me a few years to learn to play this one on my guitar(nearly smashing my six string in frustration on almost every occasion); but it was WELL WORTH IT!!! This song is a great dedication to the fallen hero's of rock-n-roll. Yes, WE WILL REMEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Always had a soft spot for Saxon! highlights here are the title track, We Will Remember, and Baptism of Fire |

This was hailed as their "triumphant return to form" by many critics. That's all well and good, but I liked the "too American-sounding" albums that preceded this. This is a little closer to their original sound, though that doesn't necessarily mean it's their best. It does have it's share of good tracks though, as well as a strong production. "Requiem" is the definite highlight for me. I'd say it's one of their all time best songs. This cd would be a good start for anyone who's curious about the |

cont.. band. It's got all the classic elements that made 'em famous(well... sorta famous, anyway). |

Some mighty fine stuff on this album. If "Just can't get enough of you" , "Ain't gonna take it" and "I'm on fire" don't get your head rockin' and yor feet tappin' then you don't have a pulse in your body!!!!!!! |

Wow, I think the rating has been tampered with on this one. There's no way this is as bad as that rating says, whether you like it or not. This was my introduction to Saxon, and songs like 'Solid Ball of Rock' still rate high on my radar, as well as the awesome commercial rocker, 'Requiem (We Will Remember). 'I Just Can't Get Enough' and 'I'm on Fire' are killer hard rock tracks. Good solid CD. |

I agree with Geoff. As a matter of fact this a fantastic album. For some it was a great return to form. It deserves at the very elast 85/100 |

Right you are jack ---Nothing compares to their old "Strong Arm Of The Law"/ "Wheels Of Steel" days ..... |
From: Propane | Date: December 1, 2004 at 10:15 |
Different direction, yes. BUT... one thing they've NEVER done: tried to ride the wave of typical MTV influenced shit that would come to be known as the 'Seattle sound',rap,pop,etc.. They've never succommed to industry pressure at any time. Buy this one if you haven't already. |

WE WILL REMEMBER. |

In this album Saxon returns to their heavy metal/hard rock roots after the softer, AOR-edged (but excellent IMO) "Destiny". Great songs like "Solid Ball Of Rock", "Requiem", "Lights In The Sky", "Just Can't Get Enough". One of my favourite Saxon CDs. |

A commercial Saxon album in here(and they have done quite some in their career)but overall an enjoyable one!!!...my faves are tracks 1,2,3(AOR-ish),5,6 & 11(a Judas Priest cover of the song "You'Got Another Thing Coming" and not on this CD edition)...86/100 |
