A Must |

Yes, you are right GREAT DANE. This is a must of any NWOBHM fan or fan of british metal from the early 80s. The song POWER AND THE GLORY is an increible song, one of my all time favorite SAXON songs. Also the rest of the songs are cool. THE EAGLE HAS LANDED FOREVER!!!!!! |

H*ll Yes ! Kick-Ass. ----and it's a testament to Byford' for keeping this band afloat for 25 yrs . ----- |

Saxon at their peak. Right after this they went from the classic NWOBHM sound to more commercial attempts. While the following 80's albums had a couple decent tracks per album, they seemed like a band out of ideas. This one is a strong 8/10 |

I like this one (but i thought it a bit commercial upon initial release) I like their first album, "Wheels of Steel," "Strong Arm of the Law," and "Denim & Leaather" (Where were you in 79 when the dam began to burst?) a bit more, but this one's certainly worth getting. Interesting piece of trivia: the original American release (vinyl lp) had a remake of "Susie Hold On;" of course not as good as the original, but worth tracking down as a piece of history! |

Long live the mighty Saxon, these guys were and still are a great ROCK band. screw MTV for selling Saxon and other bands of their genre out for all this constant hip hop in yo face stuff. I'm 22 and I say ROCK AND ROLL is here to stay. UNITE METAL FANS. |

Although I had the LP for years I recently found a used, japanese edition CD in a local second hand shop. The production by Jeff Glixman on this album is straight in your face, the guitars are razor sharp, Saxon changed their sound in an american way, and I LOVE it. 8 songs, 8 killers, itīs a great melodic hardrock album that comes highly recommend IMO if you like the classic 80īs DOKKEN sound. |

I wish I'd have kept this long enough to sell on ebay. Does it fetch a decent price? Either way, much to average in it's delivery of hard rock for me, though I understand it's appeal to fans of Accept and the like. |

The only Saxon album that I have heard, I loved this album, especially "Nightmare," and "The Eagle Has Landed." I am excited to see that they are still putting out music. I remember "Circus" magazine, years ago, ranking Saxon as the best of the, then, new British Invasion. Along with Thin Lizzy (whom they also mentioned), I would have to agree! |

This was seasoned, refined and polished Saxon. There was not the slightest hint of commercialism or corporate crap on this one. Just 100% pure straight ahead rock. Id you are new to Saxon do what you must to get your hands on this one. 10/10. |

The last Saxon album from the NWOBHM era and the last one to really get the fans seal of approval again, until the beginning of the 90's. Again some really strong stuff on here 'Power And The Glory', 'Nightmare' and the album standout for me, the superb 'Midas Touch', but, there are also a couple of so so tracks and the very ordinary, crass metal of 'This Town Rocks' which spoil things a little in the middle section. It's still a great Saxon album in general, but not as good as what went before it. |

good release by SAXON but surely not among their best!straight heavy rock of the early 80 s with some good songs like "nightmare","power and the glory" and "this town rocks".i d prefer a better production too !good release though |

A good release but far from reaching that top position in Saxon's albums IMHO..."Power & The Glory" is the highlight in here and almost a must at any live show of the band..."This Town Rocks" & "Watching The Sky" are other 2 faves of mine...84/100 |
