If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Saxon CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Saxon are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Not exactly a must have disc in the Saxon collection, but definitley an interesting one. Basically a 'Best Of...' featuring a good selection of career spanning tracks, all re-recorded. All the songs stick pretty closely to the original versions, albeit with a more up to date production and a few tweaks here and there. Nice to hear them with the more recent line up, and it has been well done, but really a completist only release.

saxon had finished their carreer in 1992 with the excellent"forever free".in 1985 "innocence is no excuse" was one of the best hard rock record 1986 "destiny" had a beautiful f m touch and in 1991 "solid ball of rock" was an atomic hard rock bomb.after 1992 all their cd s are a long and boring suite of heavy metal without melodies and without emotions.this best of is essential to all the hard rockers of this planet cause in the eighties saxon was the more hard, the more exciting and the more catchy band of the hard rock scene.their riffs was some masterpieces and are unforgetable.i ve the version with on the second record live at bloodstock s a super concert with a great sound and only hopeffully three metal s the first cd that i ve buying in 2017.this year starts well.
