Great, great stuff from Saxon! This album takes on from where Solid Ball of Rock ended. The crunching heavy sound is still there and the songwriting is of pure, solid Saxon quality you can depend on! Every song is a gem! Real hardrock/metal at itīs very best. Take for example the title track, Get Down and Dirty, Canīt Stop Rockinī or Nighthunter! A really fascinating album from the time grunge was beginning to take over. I havenīt heard the later albums, but hopefully they go on this way!

They actually got a lot harder after this release...Great!

Really? Iīll have to try to find and check out the later releases! Thanks for the tip, Scandinavia.

Great album, some very good tunes on this one. Forever Free, Can't Stop Rocking and Nighthunter are my fav, and the live version off princess of the night (a bonus track on my release) is great! It starts with a kickass guitar solo, then goes into the intro riff, very cool!

I bought this purely to trade with someone, but from what I heard it was anoter good, solid collection of hard rock, even if it was not spectacular or amazing. Good solid hard rock.

No disappointment here. This one has every pure element of Saxon we've come to know and love.

pretty good release by the mighty SAXON back in 92.of course not so good to make an impact back in the hair metal days, but this one is solid and hard rockin release.dreat guitars once again and a mixture of heavy rockers and some more hard rockin tunes.standout songs"get down and dirty","forever free" and "cant stop rockin".SAXON roxx!

Saxon has always put on good records in IMHO and this one's not the exception ..."Forever Free","Hole In The Sky"(hell yeah!),"Get Down And Dirty","One Step Away","Nighthunter" & "Cloud Nine" are awesome songs!!!...there is a release of this album that brings 2 live bonus tracks, the all time classic "Princess Of The Night" & "Forever Free" featured here so it is worth having this one with the bonus tracks...92/100

One of my favourite Saxon releases. Can't Stop Rockin', Get Down and Dirty and Forever Free are particularly great heavy metal tracks. The cover Willie Dixon's Just Wanna Make Love To You is damned excellent and sounds like a completely new song. Recommended for British heavy metal fans.
