Wonderful release!!!...Saxon is undoubtebly one of the most consistent Heavy Metal band of all time...its discography is based mainly in great albums(even when they flirted with Melodic Rock way back in the 80's)...this "Call To Arms" ain't an exception...the best shots for me are "Hammer Of The Gods","Back In '79","Call To Arms"(a song with an epic feel),"Chasing The Bullet","Afterburner" & "Call To Arms" in its orchestral version...some people might find the songs repetitive in style but one thing is for sure, this act hasn't lost the direction like some other ones of the same category of importance...Biff & C.o....KEEP ON ROCKING US FOREVER!!!...88/100 |

Saxon is one of the greater bands of NWOBHM, their music and albums are strong and better with age, Call To Arms is a fantastic work. |

I had never been a big Saxon fan, a few albums here and there. But earlier this year. I saw them open for Priest, and came away impressed. So I've been checking out their catalog a bit more. Totally dig this album! |
