This CD is pretty good if you are a fan of Lit/Handsome Devil. It is your basic pop-punk CD with no real originality. |

I actually really dig this album a lot. IMHO I think it's got a touch of the Lit thing happenin', but I think it's also got a lot of the sleaze feel of bands like Junkyard, etc. "Bleed", "Revelation", "Automatic", and "If We Were Kings" are the standouts for me. I found it on half.com for as low as $0.76, and it's easily worth at least that to check it out. It's certainly not ground-breaking, but it's a good listen pretty much all the way through. |

hot damn, this band rocks bigtime..this was my favorite release of 2000..they sure know how to write great rock tunes with a sleazy undertone...for me this is the band that fills up the gap that guns n roses left...any songs to recommend? 'underground (great lyrics)','free your mind' (mindblowing tune), 'if we were kings' (anthem) and my favorite song 'i guess i better warn ya, cos i've been to california..'.pure rock n roll pleasure...thank you american pearl |

Good slab of modern hard rock. Slightly more aggressive than LIT, but definitely from the same school of thought. Play it loud! |

While, the band was written off as a diluted version of Buchcherry meets Social Distortion, there were some great moments on this record. By no means was it a classic, but it will grow on you after a number of spins. Unfortunately, the band didn't stick around for too long & disbanded within a year or so of this record being issued. I managed to pick this one up in near mint condition in a local shop for a mere $3.99! It was a steal & worth every penny. Check it out. 7.5 rating overall. |

Good music but nothing groundbreaking. Good vocals with upbeat tunes. Slight modern southern/glam hard rock feel to most of the tunes. |

This one came out of now where!!! Great debut of a killer sleeze rock band. They remind me of a more refined Backyard Babies. It's raw as hell, but gushing with melody at the same time. One of my favs in 2000. If you like your rock stripped to the bone, then check these f*#ckers out!!! |

pretty good debut by AMERICAN PEARL ,which has ex members of great hair metal acts SHEL SHOC and HARLOT!but dont expect anything like those great bands, cause this is released in 2000!guitar driven rock n roll ,it kinda reminds me of Backyard Babies i d say with good songs ,but not as catchy as they should be!interesting release though full of good riffs and arrangements! |
