completely superb album. full of strong vocals, loud guitars, cool keyboard tunes... tuff instrumentation from british aor band. all songs are great, still fresh & tasty. i still love both After Hours album. real art is immortal like this art work. john francis is a great singer, his strong voice like jimmy barnes, michael bolton, steve perry. great aor from 80's. i gave 10 for it!

'You're never alone' is awesome, and I think this one is better than the debut. AOR fans will prefer the debut and it's a 50/50 decision as they're both pretty good, but this is a good hard rocking disc. They remind me a bit of 8084, though 8084 were better IMO. But this is a good solid hard rockin' disc.

From: to geoff Date: March 21, 2005 at 4:15
you still havent removed the fork from your ear, isnt it about time my friend, lol, after hours s/t better than the debut, no way.

From: Geoff Date: March 21, 2005 at 4:59
I thought about removing the fork a couple of times, but the ladies really seem to like it. They say it compliments my eyes. Plus it has a really sensuous vibrating affect on my ears when I listen to music at high volumes. As for After Hours, I'm not really phased as to which album is better. AOR fans will undoubtedly prefer the debut, I prefer the slighlty rockier second album but ask me tomorrow and I could go either way. Both are good, neither is magnificent IMO.

Amazing! I am all the time checking new bands and After Hours really struck me like lightning. This is what I call real ROCK !

From: holly114 Date: April 8, 2006 at 23:05
For all you listeners who like 'Samantha' for your information the drummer wrote this song. Check out the drumming on the original After Hours Take Off cd on stereo surround sound, amazing!!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: June 21, 2010 at 19:09
This album remindes me of Dare's Blood From Stone...why?,'cause After Hours' Take Off had plenty of keys, more orientated to that kind of sound and "less guitar",the same like Dare's Out Of The Silence...in here(like Dare)they harden their sound using in this case more guitar and "less keys"...anyway both releases from both bands are amazing even though personally i prefer their debuts..about this one,"Wild Woman" rocks inmediately,it has a good chorus,"Girl Like You" is pretty cool,a highlight,"You're Never Alone" is one of my faves,"Samantha" is a good track with also a good chorus,"Love Games" and "It's Only Love" are also faves and "Blood On Silver" sounds like a Deep Purple song, pretty good and vintage keys all over & "Tommy's Song" has an anti-war lyric, very interesting...well,honestly i prefer their debut one but this one also is enjoyable,i think comparing this one to Dare's Blood From Stone is right(of course having both albums their own particularities).88/100..

"You're never alooone...(Never aloooone...) NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARRRRRE" This album is worth getting based on the vocals alone. This singer has a volcano in his lungs. What a powerhouse, man!

From: Eric3 Date: June 9, 2017 at 3:08
^typo! I got the lyrics wrong! But the singer is still amazing, you should get this album
