Pulled this one out again after some time, good attitude driven Hard Rock. There was a couple of great lost trax here, but some weren't so great too. Cool little indie, and although every song wasn't killer, the ones that were make this one to get for fans of the genre for sure. I give it an 8.5

A good indie that will take you back to a time when hard rock was all about rebellious attitudes, having fun, girls, and partying. In the pantheon of hard rock indies, this one sits somewhere in the middle; in other words, there are better indies out there, but there are much, much worse as well. Unfortunately, this one's harder to find than a virgin sheep in redneck country...

This isn't too bad at all. I wouldn't call it great, a little too sloppy for that but it's got some good attitude and lots of guitars. Was there another release? I got like 7 MP3's that are not from this album.

same here, got some tunes that didn't end on this album..i searched the net for more info on them but i couldn't find a thing..this is a fun album with highlights: 'waitin' on an angel (great ballad guys)and 'gunshy'...if you dig warrant from their debut album days, you should chekk out this band..anyone with info on them can mail me at batcave777@hotmail.comm thanxx

There was a band with the name Backseat Romeo from Michigan's Upper Pennisula. This may be the same one, but this is a different album than I saw on MP3.com (If that was it) a couple of years ago. That album had the songs "Backseat Romeo" and "She cries herself to sleep" which is a really good song. They used to tour in the early 90's and I saw them a couple of times in southern Michigan. The had a cd listed for sale on Mp3 in mid 2002. Mark mb776@hotmail

I remember a band from boston called backseat romeo and they kicked of a great show opening for aerosmith at the garden.Kind of a straight ahead long haired rock n roll show...They kicked ass!

From: JayMac Date: January 21, 2005 at 15:52
I know the singer of this band, and they are out of Syracuse. Never opened for Aerosmith. The singer is a freak and I think he is homeless now or something. Too bad huh?

From: JayMac Date: January 21, 2005 at 22:35
Naw, I'm only kidding. He is doing great and I deal with him on a daily basis at my place of employment. I wish him nothing but luck with his new projects!!

Finally got my hands on this elusive little f*cker a while back... well at least on a copy of the CDR. And you know what, I'm impressed. The guys certainly didn't do anything new, but if you like 80's hard rock done in a very fine fashion, I recommend this. It's very good 80's style US hard rock, but when it comes down to the crunch it's hard to pick who they sound like...

From: Remastered Reason Date: February 9, 2006 at 10:55
D.R.Rydher certainly has a glam/hard rock type voice that takes you back to the late 80's when hair metal reigned supreme. The band has a playful sound that would intrigue anyone who favors this genre of music. Overall, the album is pretty stripped back & doesn't include any great production quirks yet still offers plenty of good time rock & roll.

From: Studboy Date: December 27, 2006 at 22:52
In my opinion, this is an excellent hair metal release. The first track sounds exactly like Ratt. The rest of the CD is excellent, catchy hooks, great production. One of my favorite CDs in my collection. Highly recommended. 9 out of 10.

This is okay but nothing fantastic....

From: revengeofthefallen Date: August 16, 2009 at 18:06
WTF the first track sounds like Ratt you must be deaf as it sounds nothing like Ratt . I would say this is one of the top 10-15 indies from the USA . Very cool band from New York with touches of Bon Jovi !! Sometimes the comments on this board are way out there!A must for all rockers!

From: 20gunsalute Date: September 25, 2009 at 23:37
This is pretty forgettable and kinda wimpy. This kind of suffers from the same problem a lot of releases after 1988 had, going more for that commercial, polished sound and less of a rockin' sound. If you don't mind that style you can check it out, but the fans that like it rockin' might get a little bored with this

From: hair metal again Date: April 4, 2019 at 5:01
excellent hair metal release for BACKSEAT ROMEO back in 93 that i had the pleasure of buying just when it was out!coming from East Coast you can hear that influence ,but also there is a certain attitude that is more often from the Cali bands!guitar driven ,commercial hard rock music with a strong edge ,many good songs and of course a sensational ballad like "waiting on an angel"!highly recommended
