The first of 3 albums from this band of future LA Guns and Def Leppard members Phil Lewis and Phil Collen. Very simple, but very glammy sound to these guys. Rumor has it that they did one of the first Kiss cover tunes on an album with Do You Love Me. Another highlight here is the original version of Hollywood Tease which Phil Lewis later redid for the first LA Guns album and My Number which Lillian Axe later redid for their Love and War CD. |

Fantastic release, and one of my altime faves. Highlights for me are: 'Hollywood Tease', 'My Number', 'Do You Love Me' and the Reggae inspired'Passing Clouds'.Essential listening for everyone. An astounding live band at the time Aswell. |

Yesss! A must have for LA GUNS fans for the original version of "Hollywood Tease". There are a couple of subpar tracks, but this is mostly killer material. I never tire of listening to this disc. |

gerry laffy's post-girl band sheer greed also did a version of "hollywood tease". |

Another awesome effort by Phil Lewis. This one is a little bit more poppy sounding than Wasted Youth but still sounds great. "Heartbreak America" sounds just a little too similiar to Def Leppard's "Hello America" but still is a great tune. |

A great album that takes me back. The Girl anthology is THE album to own as it is a double featuring definitive single version of Little Miss A and Love is a Game, plus all the best tracks of this. The Kiss cover is awful!! |

The absolute hilight of this release is the opener, that great tune we all thought was written by the guns - Hollywood Tease! This, the original version is so much ass-kickin' better than the '88 version, I mean this song alone is worth buying this album! |

I know the coment was years ago now, but if Dean thinks Heartbreak America sounds too close to Hello America (I dont hear it myself), what he should realise its actually the other way round as this album was released In January of 1980 and On through the night was March of 1980, meaning that the Girl song was out first. |

explosive debut by GIRL and a must have for all hard rockers!Phil Lewis shines like a big star he is and the band delivers some excellent sleazy tunes like "hollywood tease","little miss ann","my number " and "lovely lorraine"!GIRL was a band ahead of its time and one of UK s finest |
