Really a superb digipack 3cd-boxset that contains three jewels: "Live At The Roxy", "Fortune" (reputedly the greatest pomp AOR album of all time) and "Rock The Night Away" (more straight AOR). Classic stuff, outstanding tunes, refined songs, gorgeous keys, marvellous harmony vocals and... whatever you want, it's here! |

You all out there should check this one out ! Indeed, rob has told the truth ! Fortune is a great pomp record (listen to 'Conquest For The Commoner !) and the rest is more AOR orientated. The package is fantastic and the remastering is superb ! Certainly classic stuff and nicely done by the chaps at Escape Music ! A MUST HAVE ! (yes, mr. Blue Charvel). |

I WONDER WHY THESE GREAT BANDS HAVE NEVER HAD THE RIGHT SUCCESS....IT'S A MISTERY...(LISTEN TO BALANCE--TOUCH--STEEL BREEZE--ETC.ETC...) THIS RECORD IS SIMPLY GENIAL.. |

ALL THREE CD'S ARE FANTASTIC. I'M KNOW 45 AND THIS MUSIC BRINGS BACK THE LATE 70'S AND 80'S MUSIC BACK TO ME. WHAT A RELIEF! I ALSO BELIVE THE 90'S AND THE PRESENT GENERATION WOULD LOVE SUGERCREEK MUSIC. THE SONG, " CONQUEST OF THE COMMONER " IS A MASTERPIECE ! |

Ok Sugarcreek is a Good AOR band, specially Rock the Night Away is a Great album(84 killer year to AOR), Fortune (82 decent)is a decent album, aca veo los gustos de la gente por ejemplo AOR freaky le encanta lo pomposo y albums de principios de 80, una vez se lo dije y se nego jaja, por ejemplo veo que aman Conquest for the Commoner que para mi es muy tirado a 70 con esa onda sinfonica eso es AOR pomposo y no significa mucho en mi vida, en cambio el album del 84 ese es otro LOTE eso es MAGIA!!! |

From: Rafo Phoenix | Date: September 24, 2005 at 15:36 |
encontramos placenteros cortes como Got My Eye on her(con ese comienzo que deja huella), One Way Street, I Don't Mean Enough to You, Love So Strong, What a Night... haber los hermanos hispanos en este site que tienen este buen album espero ver algun comentario y checar sus gustos, y ver si coincidimos en opiniones, saludos de Rafo Phoenix "The Legend" desde Ica-Peru un amante y catador total del Mejor Rock de los 80's. |

I have the simgle "Fortune" vynil so is the one i'm gonna write about...well first of all it strongly reminds me of the band Angel(Greg Giuffria) with that pomp-ish sound in the tracks(probably they were influenced by them)and furthermore those songs were backed up with that male(sounding female-ish at times)type of voice, typically of some bands of the genre..."Soothsayer","Crazy Kind Of Love","Going For It" & "Ride It Out" are the ones i like from this record...75/100 |
