The most underrated AOR album! Tommy and Don once played behind Eddie Money, and so they are very skillful. The title song is my best driving tune!

From: Legend Date: October 25, 2003 at 19:24
An absolute AOR gem. This Cd is awesome. The songs are perfect, soaring melodies and catchy choruses. An underated album. Tommy Girvin vocals are prefect for this kind of music. Buy it!!, a lot of good tunes but the first track worths the album value itself. Uno de los mejores y más desconocidos Cd´s de hard Aor de la historia. javi

outstanding album!!!!!!superb in every way...production,vocals,songs...you name it!.for all of you aor lovers who sadly miss new stuff from the storm(like i do),this is the closest thing youll ever hear to that classic band.about this album?...well this is near perfection.buy it,borrow it,eat it...i dont care...you just gotta listen to this beauty!!!.

From: AOR freaky Date: January 28, 2004 at 5:32
I really agree on this one, dear Rob ! Excellent AOR stuff ! Well worth your hard earned money ! Go for it !

From: Andy Date: February 9, 2004 at 18:05
Great to see I'm not alone in raving about this album. Tommy Girvin's vocals are a glorious mix of John Waite, Don Henley and Van Stephenson. The lyrics are straight out of the classic AOR 'loved and lost' songbook!

From: Rycheage Date: March 30, 2004 at 0:58
Highlights include the smooth radio friendly 'Middle Of The Night' and the rather Van Stephenson flavored 'Was It Worth Goodbye'. The anthemic 'Can You Fall In Love Again' is nice, while 'Can You Take The Heartache' has a hook right out of The Storm. Overall a good solid effort, not overly brilliant, but good nonetheless.

Delighted to see the great comments here, as I admit I am much more into melodic hard rock than AOR, but every now and then you hear a release like this and you just have to love it. Absolutely excellent CD! The vocals remind me of John Waite at times (Is that foolish?!) and are just superb, but it's the songs here that make it. 'Wounded by love', 'Can you fall in love again' and the awesome 'Can you take the heartache' are faves but this is just a great album overall. Highly recommended!

MTM released in that epriod of time a couple of great albums like Stun Leer and (the first) Steelhouse Lane. This is right up there and just as good. Excellent production, good songwriting. Best songs: Wounded by Love, Trouble in Paradise, Good loving gone bad and Cant you take the heartache. Great album all in all !

From: MelodicMan Date: January 17, 2005 at 16:21
Hmmm, maybe I'm alone here, but sorry Erik, i could never put this album together with the perfects Stun Leer and Steelhouse Lane. I'm not saying this isn't good, but you overrated it IMO.

From: Wotty Date: January 17, 2005 at 16:28
This is quality A.O.R.cd.But you can't put this up against Steelhouse Lane or vice-versa....

From: Erik Date: January 18, 2005 at 1:20
Oh i agree Melodicman. Its not as good as Stun Leer or Steelhouse Lane. But it think it was a really good sounding release and a nice addition for anyone's( aor/rock) collection. Would have loved to see a follow up tho

From: MikeL Date: January 19, 2005 at 18:16
This a good melodic AOR release. Great vocals and catchy hooks. I really dig Middle of the Night.

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: March 23, 2005 at 21:37
Yeahhh Boys, this a Great AOR/Melodic Rock album, una de los mejores discos que escuchado de una banda cristiana, temazos como Good Lovin' Gone Bad, Trouble in Paradise, Can't Live Without Your Love, Can You Take the Heartache, Wounded By Love por poner solo algunos. un album completo. Estoy aca con mi pata Mario, le encanto el grupo como a mi, aparte en mi ciudad ica somos los unicos que escuchamos este estilo de musica, o hay algun iqueño? Recomendado 100%.

From: ArnoldLancelot Date: April 3, 2005 at 3:37
Sorry guys but giving the fact that is quite good staff I don't think it's so great as it claims to be!! First: Production(sorry dear Rob) it's everything but good, miles away from the 80's style; and the songwriting make it sound too much melodic rock and so few aor in there. My advise, get it but don't rush for it.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: December 25, 2006 at 20:37
Aor ala old school but in recent years?.Not so many bands have the guts to do something like this nowadays but the effort was pleasant. Not an 100 0.000000e+00ssential but worth the try.

From: z4roxx Date: March 18, 2007 at 10:32
That's incredible,sold twice and re-bought 3 times ahahahaha!Agree with the above comments,great aor cd!!!!!

From: lalo r.o.c.k. Date: September 10, 2008 at 13:55
Great and amazing album,Tommy Girvin´s voice is like Bryan Adams meets Don Henley, listen Middle of the night(Bryan Adams!),Good lovin´gone bad(the voice of the mighty EAGLES),Can you fall in love again both of them with great feelings,is a wonderful ballad;AOR at it´s finest, Wounded by love and Can you take the heartache are my favorites,in fact all the songs are incredibles,9.5/10.

From: george_the_jack Date: May 4, 2009 at 14:47
Decent AOR stuff with a very bad timing(1997)...

From: juan carlos Date: May 13, 2009 at 17:37
I bought this CD 4 years ago because of many positive comments in different AOR/MR Sites.. Decent? mmm don´t think so but good/ok for me. "Was It Worth Goodbye" "Middle of the Nigh" and the ballad "Can You Fall in Love Again" are by far my faves. Girvin´s voice reminds me of Mike Reno from Loverboy but not in a good way(too mellow for my taste). It´s a good album but mmm.. i prefer Eddie Money by far. I have this CD for Sale.. 8/10

From: rick kerch vzla Date: February 24, 2011 at 17:52
Not some persons above were really satisfied with this..hey Arnold Lancelot,ok the production might not be top notch but neither is so crappy...still i respect your opinion dude...songs?,yes..goodies all over..."Bring It On Home" is a nice mid tempo starter,"Trouble In Paradise" brilliant!,"Wounded By Love" is one of my faves,if not my real fave ,"Good Lovin' Gone Bad","Can You Fall In Love Again","Can't Live Without Your Love","Can You Take The Heartache" & "In Love Again"...a very pleasant album IMHO...a matter of tastes i guess...92/100

From: hair metal again Date: July 31, 2015 at 1:10
fantastic debut by RANSOM with a clear commercial radio friendly hard rock approach!their sound is somewhere between TOWER CITY,JOHN WAITE ,EDDIE MONEY & WALL OF SILENCE and the songs are of the highest level!get it at any cost as it s a winner!

From: James IV Date: September 3, 2022 at 4:27
Just a fantastic AOR release. Luckily I own the Japanese pressing which contains a bonus track called “I can’t stay away” which is alone worth obtaining this cd for! Just amazing! 90/100.
