Noteably, the US album cover artwork was different than in other countries, depicting a montage of the band members in various live settings playing & having a good time. Alternatively, the UK album cover was ferocious enough, possibly convincing unawaring fans that Heep were back, ready to rock harder than ever. Though 1977's Innocent Victim would contain two superior tracks, closely titled but polar opposites music wise, it is a rather lukewarm sophomore effort from the John Lawton vocal era. The ballad "Free Me" & one of the bands heaviest numbers in years, "Free N Easy" were both hugely spun in Germany & rightfully so. Both are the albums highlights & keep it from being a bore. These two numbers are still played live, at times, to this present day when on tour. Elsewhere, the band played safe, keeping things very plain with the the exception of the experimental reggae inflected boogie rock track, "Roller".
