THIS IS AN AWSOME RECORD NO BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!! CHECK IT OUT NOW

The musicianship is first rate; good production too. However, they've extented some of the songs to the point where it starts to get boring. The setlist isn't the best either. There are some classics I would have rather heard than the newer songs and the Beatles cover. Still, its cool to hear acoustic versions of these songs. Even if it does tend to be a little TOO mellow throughout.

I think that this album was very good. I like the fact that they let george lynch use an electric guitar during the solo section of the songs rather than making him use an acoutic. On this album we really get to experience lynch's playing without any drums or rhythm guitar in the background, well except for the acoustic guitars but they are not very loud. All that i can say is that George Lynch is a guitar master. I would suggest this album to any dokken or George Lynch fan.

One of my favorite live discs, right along with Tesla's "Five Man Acoustical Jam".The really cool thing about this disc, is that you can tell that the guys were really having a good time, and just enjoying themselves while playing their music...yes, even George! The DVD's worth getting too!

I'm listening to this for the first time...and I have to say, I'm just amazed!!! The acoustics are wonderful.......the harmonies are dang near perfect!! SO many times I shy away from "live" albums....because, well because sometimes the artists just don't get it "right". This one blows me away!!! And yes, Whiplash1972......they DO sound like they're having FUN doing this!!! This is GREAT!!! (thanks )

MJ, get the DVD too... it's even better!

From: MJ (Marla) Date: January 5, 2004 at 13:03

I bought this when it first came out and hated it, and I have to say since then I have come to like it a lot. The first 2 tracks are great. This is the band having fun. But don dokken is nothing without Mr. Scary. I saw dokken live and wanted to kill don, because he threw a fit over the sound system, walked off stage for 20 mins and fucked up the show! Don the asshole Dokken!

Hey Dave- I met Don two years ago on the Metal Edge Tour and he was nothing but accomodating. He took picts with my wife and I and signed whatever we asked. Even though he was in a hurry, he took the time to acknowledge two longtime fans. I too have heard that he can be not so nice, he was great to us. I feel that people should hear about the good side to him too. I plan to see him this summer too with LA Guns, Great White and Warrant. Hopefully we can get the picts we took signed.

From: dave Date: May 8, 2004 at 19:49
Chad that's cool. I have met George 2 times and both times he was nice and signed stuff. That show that don did,was the only time. I got to see the original line-up. To storm off stage the way he did was unprofessional, and it made the show super short, you really felt ripped-off! Why does dokken continue to have a rotating band of members? Is it don being a dick? One might think so. I don't have a desire to meet Don, just to see all the original members back together. But I'm not holding my bre

There is nothing worse than unplugged crap! Maybe they can jump back off of the unplugged bandwagon and get back on track. This seems like something George would want.

I love this cd, love all the songs, Jeff sings great, i find it great that most of the solos are on electric guitar...into the fire, unchain the night, nothing left to say, alone again, in my dreams, i will remember really rock, and are perfectly played

Pleasant acoustic live set...relaxed but consistent at the same time..."Unchain The Night","Nothing Left To Say","Tooth & Nail","Just Got Lucky"(my fave),"In My Dreams"(fave)& "It's not Love"(fave) sounds good this way ...thumbs up 4 this one!!!.80/100
