The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Dokken CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. Love Dokken...but i think these live recordings kind of sound like sh*t! Ive got better sounding Dokken'boots i could have given to Don to release.Lynch' fretwork was about the only highlight for me.Don sounded alot better live last time i saw them-than this old show.Pilson's backing vox i could probably do without. |

...as they sounded very whiney to the point of being annoying.----- |

Very Good album, no es que sea un tremendo album en vivo pero el estilo de Dokken en esa epoca inconfundible es de esas pocas bandas que en un aņo como el 81 tenia un estilo totalmente del 85 u 86 eso ya hace a Dokken la Banda mientras que en ese aņo otros aun tenian ese toque 70's ellos eran pura magia bah sobre Dokken no hay mas que decir simplemente los mas grandes este disco 8.5/10 |

Exactly how was this recorded LIVE 1981 if Don asks the audience about the "Breaking The Chains" video being on MTV during the intro to that same song? I could be wrong, but isn't that video from 1983 at the earliest? LIVE 1981...Huh? |

Dokken.net answers the mystery, Jimmy D. Apparently the debut Dokken album was released in 1981 as Breakin' the Chains on Carrere Records (France). This version contains some different mixes (and titles of songs). "Paris is Burning" is called "Paris" and is actually a studio version. The album also contained a song called "We're Illegal" which was later turned into "Live to Rock." Conceivably the video for the title track could have been done before the Elektra release. |

It actually sounds pretty good. I picked it up new for .97 at Hastings. |
