A very melodic, glossy album. Check out Ronni Le Tekro's 'Machine Gun' technique on the song: 'Sapphire.' I love it!

From: GIORGOS Date: April 9, 2001 at 10:23
It's a very complete and enjoyable album . Typical 80s glam rock . Ronnie Le Tekkro is great , but Toni Harnell's vocals (peak at the 'As Far As The Eye Can See') really take you away .

I hate to disagree with everyone, but this album is okay at best. I bought it after hearing everyone say how great it was. Maybe my expectations were just to high.

Not their best, but not a bad album. I prefer 'Intuition' and 'Realized Fantasies'.

Top album

From: SHAG Date: March 14, 2002 at 9:43
Man, what can I say!!! This album says it all. This is absolutely one of my favorite 80's metal albums!! Driving yet melodic, this album displays a huge array of driving guitar riffs and soulful yet skillful vocals. Speaking of vocals, Tony Harnells range in unspeakable!! If you have a knack for 80's metal, I strongly suggest that you get this one!!! You will not be sorry!!! A+++++++

La mejor banda del mundo. A años luz de las demás

From: Matt Date: August 25, 2002 at 0:31
The guitarist is great, but the vocals are wimpier than the Europe, and that didn't help much. If you like big guitar stuff this album is for you...

Dan: i agree with your opinion, rating: 85/100

From: HOTROD Date: October 12, 2002 at 23:35
One of the most underrated albums for this genre. The musicianship is fantastic. 'Listen to Your Heart' and '10,000 Lovers in One' are highlights for me. Easily the best from TNT.

From: Brian Date: October 14, 2002 at 19:58
I don't understand why the musicianship of bands like TNT gets overlooked, most people say 'Hey look at the high hair' melodic rock/metal from the 80's is probably the most misunderstood genre ever. Anyway awesome CD one of my favorites!

From: metalhead Date: October 31, 2002 at 2:01
Have to agree with Matt, the vocals didn't help much. But if I would discribe this album in one word, it would be: Enjoyable!

From: MadHatter Date: November 1, 2002 at 20:02
By far the most underrated hard rock/metal band of the 80's. Very tight sophisticated sound. Vocals blow me away!!

I love this album! I think this their greatest album. Knights Of The Thunder was great, but this is even better. 10,000 Lovers In One was the main reason why I got this album. Then I liked Everyone's A Star, As Far As The Eye Can See, Tell No Tales, etc. And the awesome instrumental Sapphire, just listen to it's solo and you'll love it too! if you are a fan of 80s hair metal bands. I'll give this album a perfect 10/10!!!!!!!

UNIQUE MASTERPIECE FROM ultra cool Norwegian band TNT. not typical glam shit! This is a special SCANDINAVIAN melodic rock from Norway. RONNI is definately awesome guitarist, big talent... superb musicianship, granite rythym section, soulful vocals. TNT strikes again! breath taking guitar solos mixed ultra cool energetic songs. finest album from late 80's. don't miss it! buy now

From: Great Dane Date: May 19, 2003 at 19:59
I like this release, but the singer really has an annoying high pitched voice. Good cd though.

From: jeff Date: May 21, 2003 at 22:32
Buy this album!

From: Scandinavia Date: June 9, 2003 at 12:02
A really unique album...Something different! It has those typical mid-80s tunes like '10.000 Lovers' and 'Everyone's a Star' but the whole sound and technique of Le Tekro creates a very special atmosphere. The production is great and presents the album as a whole rather than dividing it into ballads and up-tempo tunes. Compare some of the rather boring ballads to 'Tell No Tales' for example...The sound is the same although 'Tell...' is almost a speed metal track. Great & original vocals too.

From: Verónika Date: June 12, 2003 at 15:56

From: Martin Date: June 21, 2003 at 9:14
Este es uno de los mejores discos de hard rock de toda la historia. La voz de Tony y la guitarra de Ronni son insuperables. Y los coros son fantasticos. Listen To Your Heart te conmueve hasta el final, no podes dejar de escucharla. Everyone´s A Star 10,000 Lovers (In One) y As Far As The Eye Can See son increibles tambien y el lento Northern Lights es simplemente hermoso y grandioso. Gracias Dios por esta banda. Este album es el mejor para escuchar entero de esta banda tan sensacional. Soy de Ar

TNT - How do i say...AWESOME !!!! I also saw them in the 80's with Loudness & Stryper. I have listened to them since. If you like great harmonies & just kick ass metal. This one's for you !!!!!!

I just have the INTUITION album so far but will buy me this. Only hope that the vocals are not as 'uneven' and 'unbalanced' as they are in INTUITION. Does anybody know what I mean ??

From: Scandinavia Date: January 14, 2004 at 9:48
This one is their best release if you ask me...Not as 'pop' orientated as the following release..

From: James Date: March 30, 2004 at 18:19
i bought this album on demand. I LOVED IT!!! Tony Harnell reminded me of another Rob Halford, but has his own voice, songs like Tell No Tales, 10,000 Lover (In One), Everyone's A Star, Northern Lights, etc, etc.....THE SONGS JUST ROCK FROM START TO FINISH!!!!! this album gets 10,000 thumbs UP!!

From: Mike h Date: May 11, 2004 at 20:48
Love this cd! great songs like EVERYONE'S A STAR, 10,000 LOVERS (IN ONE), SAPPHIRE, LISTEN TO YOUR HEART, and TELL NO TALES. This is a great band with a great singer who can really hit those high notes and a guitar player who is lightning fast and very talented and creative. They are one hell of a band!

From: Big Papa K Date: June 29, 2004 at 18:07
This is an improvement over the previous album. The standout songs ("10,000 Lovers" and "As Far As The Eye Can See") are better than anything from the last album, but this still suffers from some weak points in the second half. 7/10

From: Dean Date: June 30, 2004 at 10:46
Easily a classic in my book-awesome guitar and killer vocals(wimpier than Europe?WTF) 95/100

From: Date: July 26, 2004 at 19:54

From: Marc T Date: August 19, 2004 at 3:28

I love this CD. After a debut I had no interest in at all, this one pretty much blew me out of the water... if I was in it at the time. Let's just say I was because this is killer melodic hard rock with few dud moments. In fact, I like all the tracks especially '10,000 lovers' and 'As far as the eye can see'. Even the title track pleases, even if the brilliant Tony overdoes it a bit. Probably my fave TNT release before 'New Religion' came along. Actually, don't quote me on that. Love 'em all!.

From: Paul Rock Date: August 28, 2004 at 16:40
HAIL TO THIS ALBUM

From: Rycheage Date: August 28, 2004 at 17:30
This is an excellent hard rock album. It does have some filler, but they are not bad. The standouts, however, are just fantastic hard rock. "10,000 Lovers In One", "As Far As The Eye Can See", "Listen To Your Heart" and "Northern Lights" are as good as anything they have released before or since but as a whole, the album does fall short of the bar set by 'Realized Fantasies' and 'Intuition'.

Masterpiece! No doubt about it. This is perfect. I have never heard an album with a better guitar sound. And we have perfect songs here, great hooks that stick in your mind forever. This is on my top 10 list of best albums of all time!

From: aTomiK Date: August 14, 2007 at 13:46
Really strong songs in this album but the 2 slow ones are not my cup of tea. Have to agree with Icebreaker that the guitar sound is perfect. Fantastic cd, but Intuition & Realized fantasies are better if i remember correctly. Have to listen to them and make sure they are!

From: Figge Date: August 14, 2007 at 17:23
My favourite album from these guys, and that says a lot. Fantastic effort althrough. I loved it when it was released and I love it today...the perfect hard rocking summer album. 10 000 Lovers, As Far As The Eye Can See and Desperate Nights are the best tracks....but the title track is extremely cool too. One of the best hard rock albums of the 80s.

Awesome album (although Intuition is even better). What annoyes me a little is all those instrumental songs put in everywhere which keep me from giving it a 10. But the rest is sooo good that this album cannot be anything but brilliant! 8/10

From: BIG-TIME Date: September 3, 2008 at 20:10
Excellent album, but Tonys voice just edges this band out of my favourite bands list. He just screams and wails abit to much for me! like on 'Desperate Night' great song but just to much screaming anyway excellent album buy it you won't be dissapointed with it something for everyone...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

excellent release for TNT ,a band that always delivers classy hard rock music ,based on the sensational Tony Harnell s vocals and the astonishing guitar work of Ronnie Le Tekro!some big songs like "everyone s a star","10,000 lovers(in one)' and "listen to your heart" are offered here and overall a great one of the many that got out in 87

The ultimate TNT release. Everything about this album told you what this band was about. Melody, riffs galore, shredding guitars, harmony, song writing, togetherness and musicianship. Being alive and aware when this was released was an eye opener. It was raw, heavy, hard but melodic. Again, I wish people would rate the album for its time, and not the time of their rating.

Recorded in 1986 (when Tony was 24 & Ronni 23) Tony showed his rather amazing vocal range and great singing technique & Ronni played for the songs, with delicate+cool rapid solos+riffs. Diesel shows a fast right foot, whole band's solid. This album only has 30 min of playing time; only 8 "real" songs, but all are good, out of which I find five to be really good (the two singles Everyone's a star & 10,000 Lovers in one are fantastic, as well as Listen to your heart, As far as the eye can see & Desperate night). The sound quality is to this day really fantastic; the team Bjørn Nessjø with Rune Nordahl really achieved a stellar sound with great balance+ a very crisp drum sound (similar on the follow-up album Intuition recorded in late '88, and on Stage Dolls' S/T and Stripped (recorded in '88 and '90 respectively). TNT has by now 2022 sold more than 4 million albums worldwide. TNT tried to break the US market, but it's really tough, however 10,000 Lovers was at least a minor hit.

I want to like "Northern Lights" but it's just a tad too schmaltzy.
