Not great, just serviceable hard rock with so-so production. It's not something you'll play constantly, but you won't toss it in the trash either. A bit bland, so fans of that bombastic, over-the-top sound will find themselves disappointed, but most hard rockers won't have any major problems with this CD. A few dud songs, but not enough to ruin the album. In the world of hard rock, there are gourmet meals and there are gutter-pickings...this band falls somewhere in between. |

M. Allen hit it on the head. The first three songs are really going somewhere, then the rest is hit or miss until 'Won't Look Back'. Would have been a great EP. |

Have to disagree seriously. This a very good record indeed. Long time, Wide awake, Make it last are such great powerfull songs. But still catchy. If you like Work Force or Teer then you will love this also. Good effort ! |

This is a week album, I must say. After a rather mighty debut (Got to whip that one out before a review here) this is a huge disappointment. Hookless, and rather boring songs. The comparison to Teer, IMO, could not be further off if you ask me. This is much weaker, much less hook friendly and the songs just don't come close to stacking up to the Teer release (Though maybe a little close to the 1996 debut Teer album). Basically, Teer are very heavy and melodic, this is weak and not very melodic. |

People trust me. Its melodic top rock what you will find here. Great King Rat is one of the best scandi bands ever. Highly underrated. Listen to songs like wide awake in dreamland, Make it last, Loving you, Long time. Just awesome. Hard driven melodic rock but always catchy. Great vocals to go along with it. Their first album is more and more considered as classic. A MUST HAVE indeed. |

Super album!! One of the best scandinavian acts ever! |
From: Teer | Date: January 7, 2005 at 4:13 |
This is as good as it gets. I agree Scandi that GKR is one of the best scandinavian acts ever. Well at least we think they are |

Not a blasting as their self titled one IMO but still it delivers good rocking songs in the shape of "Wide Awake In Dreamland","Lovin' You","Make It Last","Leavin' This World","Restless One" & "Won't Look Back"(nice mid tempo)...this band kicked a** back then...85/100 |
