GOOD CD 80/100 smart/modern UK PROG METAL I like this album but for me it's far from the HUGE quality of any SIAM album ! The voice is still perfect but i think the songs are too much based on this great voice only , some more focus on melodies & hooks could have put this album into my 2008 TOP 20, but it's not the case ! The performances are good but maybe the low tunning guitar are sometimes out of place ! like a modern day SIAM and 1000 times better than any recent QUEENSRYCHE album ! Still very enjoyable indeed can't wait for a new one !!! |

Mills nails the vox as he leads the way with an outstanding, mostly aggressive vocal performance. Agreed, that the strength of most of these songs rely on Mills instrumental voice to make them better than average. Wonder if he will use this vocal style on the next TNT album? |

Reminds me very much of a modern Siam - not quite as good as, say, Prayer, but songwriting is there. Great songs, superb vocals. Highlights: Give Me a Reason, Tears in Lisbon, Say it One More Time and his excellent cover of Cat Stevens' Miles From Nowhere. |

Tony Mills gone Prog???..well the result was fine...his voice in here sounds like Geoff Tate and even some Bruce Dickinson alike..the music is like if it was taken from a Queensryche album but edgier and Mills doing the vocal duties...anyway a good album with some interesting moments..my faves are "Exclusion Zone","Neurotic","Tears In Lisbon" and "Glory Days"..also we have songs such as "A Vital Design"(it rocks),"Give Me A Reason"(good song with a good chorus)and "Say It One More Time"..in general lines here is the latest album of one of the most talented and solicitated vocalist around..since the "glory days" of Shy until the underrated times of TNT...see it (or may i say) hear it 2 believe it!..this album?.88/100 |
