Circle II Circle carry on the fine tradition of adventurous metal that Savatage were known for. This album is a varied and interesting heavy rock release that should get strong backing from metal fans. Certainly strong enough to guarantee a follow up and a new range of fans. One of the more interesting heavy releases currently on the market. |

This is ONE of THE BEST, if not THE BEST, release this year. Zak is in fine form proving once again that a true singer (like he is) is what's missing from alot of other bands sound. From start to finish, this is Top Notch. If you LIKED Savatages' "Handful Of Rain" & "Edge Of Thorns", you will LOVE this. Buy it now! |

Great CD good to hear Zak again after his departure from Savatage. If one didn't know better you would think it was Savatage. |

A theme common to several tracks is a simple, dominant piano introduction leading into soft vocals, then enter the full metal instrument set – either gradually or all at once – heavy at the bottom, with that piano and the vocals floating lightly over the top. Never quite soft enough to be a power ballad, but close. Ear candy for a prog-metal head! |

i like it.it how metal should sound.euro metal is all relatively the same in that the drummers sound like they should be in a death metal band, not in a traditional metal sounding guitar-driven band.thank goodness for circle 2 circle.traditional american kick ass metal |

Getting Zak back is simply great!!!!!!!!! He is one of my favorite singers of all time, and the whole band simply rocks!!!! If you like simphonic and melodic, adventurous, greatly composed and better played metal, this is a must for you. |

This was one of my favorite CDs of 2003. Zak Stevens pretty much picked up where he left off in Savatage, in fact if this had been a Savatage album it would've been their best since EDGE OF THORNS. I understand that since the album's release the entire band has left and Zak is hiring new musicians for his next one. |

Indeed a very strong hardrock/metal release. But it is not strange if we know that the Savatage boys were involved ! Good one ! |

My pick for Best Album of 2003. Considering that this is more-or-less a Savatage-written album, I'm surprised they didn't just list it under the Savatage name. I'm not hurting their album sales any either; Every person I've introduced CIIC to, they've gone out and bought a copy. |

Definitely more than worthy of being released as a Savatage album, Zakk and co. produce the goods on this album. Don't get me wrong, Jon Oliva is a mastermind, but Zakk is a much more talented singer. One of the best, if not the best in this genre! Every single song on here is fantastic! And not surprisingly, Jon Oliva and Chris Caffery from Savatage helped write a lot of it as well. Great Musicianship, great songs, great album!!! Buy now!!! 10/10.... |

This was the only CIIC album this line-up made, before being fired & teaming up with Jon Olivas Pain. Terrific album of melodic metal, very similar to Savatage efforts like "Edge of Thorns" & "Handful of Rain". 2 tracks really standout for me, "Into the Wind" is a brilliant ultra-commercial gem which shouldve brought them chart action, & "Walls" is a true genius power-ballad with great harmony vocals (all from Zak). LaPorte's guitar work is superb, as are Zak's glorious vocals. Great disc. 9/10. |

This is the album that "Poets And Madmen" should have been. Zak Stevens is back and for fans of Savatage it is a very welcomed return, as this release harks back strongly to the "Handful Of Rain" and "Edge Of Thorns" days. Add to the mix the fact that Jon Oliva and Chris Caffery had a hand in the song writing and what you are left with is nothing short of a classic Savatage album under a different name. Stunning debut worth every penny of purchase. Very, very recomended for Savatage fans!!! |
