Why don't I know these guys??? It's obviously an Danish act...Benny used to play in JACKAL & is an amazing shredder... |

This is a rare but brilliant oddity. From the ashes of early 90s Danish metal screamers Jackal came this one-off from one-half of Jackal, with a new singer and bass player, and Jackal's sometime producer Eric Greif in tow. The result is a catchy and somehow original mix of styles - vocals are raspy but melodic, guitars blazing but subdued, drums/bass driving and clear. As fast as it was released in Japan, the band disappeared in a puff of Danish butter. A shame - great production and playing. |

THIS IS A NICE RELEASE FROM SOME EX- JACKAL MEMBERS .ALTHOUGH HEAVY METAL WAS THEIR TRADEMARK , THIS IS HARD ROCK WITH GREAT SONGS ,KILLER GUITAR RIFFS FROM MR. BENNY PETERSEN AND A NICE SINGER. |

As Brian Rich, who has the right to use the name,Jackal, left the band, the rests had to change the name.1st idea was "Cluster" but as there was a progressive band in Germany in 70's who had this name, they took Encore instead. They had several materials after this exellent CD but they were changed into the non-hard rock direction. On the last promo-only 5" maxi,Benny was not in the band anymore and Olsen played the guitar part. The were no-longer the Hard Rock band at that time, but still great. |

P.S. So strange Jackal has not been listed in this web. They were TOO Metal? Anyway,Jackal will be soon back on its feet with Brian Rich and new members(Guitar/Bass/Drums).If the time will be their side, the new Jackal can be as good as the original.I just heard some rough demo tracks and they are great. |
