Didn't they have a video for "Don't Dog Me" with Gary Coleman in it?

From: jason (FA-Q) Date: May 26, 2003 at 6:24
No, you are thinking of the video for their song 'ANYWHERE BUT HERE' off of their 1993 album, DYNAMITE MONSTER BOOGIE CONCERT. Hmmm..... Come to think of it, I have that tape floating around here somewhere? http://www.ragingslab.com/lyrics.html

Excellent Southern release, described at the time as Skynyrd meets Metallica. That would be a pretty accurate description of this. This is a great addition to the collection to go along with your Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet & Blackfoot discs , and gets a regular work out in this household.Re-released on Axe killer a few years ago, with a couple of bonus live tracks

I have the "Don't Dog Me" video on tape. Gary Coleman isn't in it.

I've got their 2001 album, tThe Dealer. Remembering what "Don't Dog Me" sounded like and expecting more of the same, I was a little bit disappointed. Should've tracked down the s/t, I guess.

MUCH better than The Dealer, which was the first Slab CD I bought. Should've gotten this one instead. Greg's voice is considerably better here, the songs are hookier, there's less filler, production is better, etc. A solid 8. The Fizz picks: "Don't Dog Me," "Sorry's All I Got," and "Love Comes Loose."

My wife hears don't dog me on sirius hair nation all of the time and she loves it. I thought it was okay, don't think I have heard any others.

The metallica reference here is quite accurate. Good hard edged Southern rock with some hooks/melodies thrown in. The vocal performance sits perfectly with this style of music. I havent got their other releases so cant comment there, but you cant go far wrong with this album.

Raging Slab were one of the first bands to really make southern rock sound truly hard and metallic, with the possible exceptions of Blackfoot and Molly Hatchet. Slab's music is much more inventive and original than those bands, though, with touches of stoner rock, as much in attitude as the music itself. The lyrics are unpredictable and a little loopy but usually clever. Oh yeah, adn the songs are catchy and memorable, adn just have a cool sound all around. And the "Don't Dog Me" video was great! My faves: "Don't Dog Me," "Joyride," "Sorry's All I Got," "Bent For Silver" and of course "Geronimo."

Was Ray Gillen on "Shiny Mama"?
