Aug. 20, 2025: Temporary Message Board ClosureThe company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content (posts, user profiles, etc.). However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated. While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some long-term savings. The current message board will be closed down at some point this Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are reading this), will NOT be affected. -Dan |

It is great to see you have Antics listed. They are a great band, out there still touring. One thing though, you have Barry Worker listed as Barry Walker....you might want to fix that. |

More of a blues type band than anything although there are enough keys to give an AOR feel. "Chase Those Blues Away" IMO is the real gem here. "Miracle" and "Heart And Soul" are real heartfelt ballads which are some of the best ballads I have ever heard. Highly recommended gem. |

Based around the state of Illinois, they've played all over the midwest. Primarily a blues rock band, they do have a smattering of keyboards, and mix their styles between guitar driven high energy blues rock, and AOR. On one hand the STEVIE RAY VAUGHN influences are evident, while on some other tracks midwest luminaries HEAD EAST, SHOOTING STAR and Florida's BOBBY FRISS rear their head. All good stuff. Floyd Short's vocals are comparable to MICHAEL STANLEY at times, while the keyboard drive thro |

throughout adds that extra bit of icing on the cake. Album opener 'Don't Be Lonely' is HEAD EAST style AOR and as I recall, appeared on the one of the CHICAGO METAL WORKS volumes....... |
