A wonderful melodic feast from beginning to end. A wonderful surprise and well worth owning if you are into high quality scandi melodic rock. There is not a bum track to be heard. Fabulous!!

From: Rycheage Date: June 15, 2003 at 1:22
“Detour” is the comeback of CRYSTAL BLUE which is superb melodic-rock and combines the finest elements of hard rock, catchy melodies and strong song arrangement in the style of TREAT, SWEDISH EROTICA and early CASANOVA!

I heard this album and I think this will be one of the best of 2003 .... did anybody have the bonus track of the japan release? If yes please tell me at pcerna@hvsac.com

From: raqenrol Date: June 29, 2003 at 10:01
I got the Japanese edition of this Cd and the bonus is worth an additon and also very good. So if you don't have this Cd, better get it now. You won't be disappointed.

This is an album of pure undiluted, sweet harmony filled AOR. This album took a few listens to get into the groove, but once you do, you will find a very strong collection of Scandinavian AOR. It has an 80's feel to it, but not in the bad dated way. This is a very enjoyable and pleasant album, featuring sweet harmonies and light and fluffy songs. A solid production and crisp clean mix gives the album a commercial feel, which is dominated by guitars and to a lesser extent keyboards.

From: Gary Date: July 30, 2003 at 21:54
Paul has said it all...awesome! Wish I could find the previous releases!

From: melodic blue Date: October 5, 2003 at 1:49
A band that is surely to become a mainstay in melodic rock.

From: xavieskay Date: December 20, 2003 at 13:54
sin duda alguna el mejor album de hard melodico del 2003, geniales canciones, muy buena voz y produccion cojonuda. No os lo podeis perder!!!

From: koogles Date: December 22, 2003 at 12:24
Probably my favorite CD of 2003 that was released in 2003. (Final Frontier came out in late '02). This one grew on me, whereas FF hit me between the eyes from the beginning. I can honestly agree with Paul Smith- there is an incredibly consistent release with no throwaway factor. Very polished & reminiscent of the glory days of Scandi AOR/hard rock. A classic that ranks alongside your favorites by Europe, Treat, Da Vinci, Dalton, Bad Habit, Alien, Talk of the Town, Easy Action, 220 Volt & Harlot.

From: Bill Date: January 6, 2004 at 18:15
If you like Treat, Skagarack or Europe this will be your AOR/Melodic Rock album of the year 2003!!! BUY IT!!!

From: malko Date: January 15, 2004 at 17:26
Sweet piece of AOR that holds an enormous capacity in catchy choruses and addicting drums, creds for all of the band and their teamwork in creating structural songs that keeps you easily amused. The opening song is an absolute 10-pointer that just keeps the mind flow with an sweet melody, the record as a whole needs some lift from the high low-standard. thus 7.5p

From: jayglam@hotmail Date: February 5, 2004 at 9:43
Great melodic hard rock release, this reminds me of Europes prisoners in paradise especially the vocals which is not a bad thing. For an album of this quality and greatness to come in in 2003 in fantastic. You guys are awesome. 9 out of 10. Jay from Australia.

One of the best music I have heard so far! Recommended for everyone!

From: Wotty Date: August 11, 2004 at 13:06
What a CD,one my personal faves from 2003.Quality AOR from a band who deserve more recognition than some of these nu-breed bands.

From: TIM (2) Date: August 12, 2004 at 4:21
If you love Scandi pure AOR as much as I do you need this album. In the same way as the recent efforts from Wig Wam and House of Mirrors, this one recaptures the days of big curly blonde hair-do's and parping keyboards. 'Someone' and 'Believe Me' are my two favourites, but the consistency is very high. Very reminiscent of Skagarack (albeit not quite matching any of their magnificent albums) and Dalton this one came right out of the blue. Excellent. 8.5/10.

From: Wotty Date: August 12, 2004 at 12:14
Hey Tim[2],we may disagree on FM and Dare, but when you talk about CRYSTAL BLUE and STREET TALK we are on the same level.Quality stuff, keep the AOR flowing. Also AOR FREAKY knows the score.

Just got this this morning - Very good indeed even after a couple of spins, and on par with some of the great scandi releases of yesterday. Ironic that when i was having my 'discussion' with the Freak earlier, this was blaring out of the speakers. Wotty - give me your email and i will send you my list of discs, you can see what i'm into 7 likewise for you. Any discs you want to offload , you may want to do some trades.

From: Geoff Date: August 26, 2004 at 8:23
Yeah, this one is excellent. Much better than 'Caught in the game', I feel. A more solid and fuller sounding collection of AOR. The first half of the CD thrills me in a very fine way! Great CD!

Without a doubt my album of the year in 2003!!! ..... 'Back On Track' what a giutar/keys intro duel....

From: Wotty Date: September 3, 2004 at 20:06
Harald,we seem to be the only two posting anything, but we both agree on this classy album.I have posted previous glowing reviews of this....

From: larry Date: September 4, 2004 at 21:58

From: Sergio Date: November 27, 2004 at 16:23
Este fue para mí el mejor del 2003, lejos, lejos. La canción MOVE ON es la perla del año. El vocalista canta exactamente igual que TEMPEST, y los teclados son totalmente OUT OF THIS WORLD. EXCELENTE. Acabo de saber que ese tecladista/vocalista estará en el próximo de LAST AUTUMN'S DREAM, junto con J.BORGER y M.JACOB. Ojalá la música sea tan buena como los músicos.

From: Tom Date: January 2, 2005 at 9:50
The best album i've heard for a long long time: just perfect!

From: Harald Date: February 4, 2005 at 15:09
Still my favorite classic AOR album of recent years, every song is a winner.

From: oliver Date: February 5, 2005 at 7:09
excellent melodic rock, near to perfect. not a single filler to find. 9,5/10

From: stryper Date: July 20, 2005 at 10:39
great album.they seem to get better and better.cool scandi rock.a must have imo....

From: juan carlos Date: September 7, 2005 at 14:50

From: Swazi Date: December 19, 2005 at 10:04
Nothing more to add. Just f*****g GREAT !!!

From: the rocker Date: February 9, 2007 at 16:26
the singer sounds like joey tempest. that is a good thing. good cd.

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: March 31, 2007 at 10:04
Very Good Melodic Rock/AOR album, otro muy buen trabajo mas melodicos que sus anteriores trabajos si escojo cortes que rayan la perfeccion en su totalidad son sin lugar a dudas Damage & Never Say Surrender gustos de un Inmortal 'Someone, Back on Track, This Is the Time' son otras delicias pero les falto un pelo para ser perfectas si te gustan Europe de su mejor epoca esta es tu banda y mas aun por el timbre de voz de Ove Lundqvist 100% Tempest Recomendado 8.5/10

From: shoemaker Date: January 7, 2008 at 13:16
Fine! It´s all said.

From: DanDare Date: October 23, 2010 at 4:18
Sweeping, majestic keyboards aplenty, harmonised vocals and a stinging, wailing guitar solo somewhere in the middle. Just as it should be. There are better albums, but this is great, nonetheless and well worth your time, effort and money.

From: gypsymoth Date: December 3, 2010 at 5:32
'Someone' and 'Believe me' are good tracks. All that i ve to say!

From: 123charpenay Date: April 10, 2014 at 12:43
great scandi a o r.this record is not extraordinary but it is very consistant and very solid.no fillers.the ballads track 7 and 11 are exceptional.the rest is great, melodic and a little soft scandi a o r.nevertheless no hits in this album.i recommand the japan import cause the bonus track is strangely the best track of the record!!!!

From: 123charpenay Date: April 11, 2014 at 11:37
a little add to my previous comment:it s important to say that this time they have recruted a very great singer.
