A wonderful melodic feast from beginning to end. A wonderful surprise and well worth owning if you are into high quality scandi melodic rock. There is not a bum track to be heard. Fabulous!!

“Detour” is the comeback of CRYSTAL BLUE which is superb melodic-rock and combines the finest elements of hard rock, catchy melodies and strong song arrangement in the style of TREAT, SWEDISH EROTICA and early CASANOVA!

This is an album of pure undiluted, sweet harmony filled AOR. This album took a few listens to get into the groove, but once you do, you will find a very strong collection of Scandinavian AOR. It has an 80's feel to it, but not in the bad dated way. This is a very enjoyable and pleasant album, featuring sweet harmonies and light and fluffy songs. A solid production and crisp clean mix gives the album a commercial feel, which is dominated by guitars and to a lesser extent keyboards.

Probably my favorite CD of 2003 that was released in 2003. (Final Frontier came out in late '02). This one grew on me, whereas FF hit me between the eyes from the beginning. I can honestly agree with Paul Smith- there is an incredibly consistent release with no throwaway factor. Very polished & reminiscent of the glory days of Scandi AOR/hard rock. A classic that ranks alongside your favorites by Europe, Treat, Da Vinci, Dalton, Bad Habit, Alien, Talk of the Town, Easy Action, 220 Volt & Harlot.

Sweet piece of AOR that holds an enormous capacity in catchy choruses and addicting drums, creds for all of the band and their teamwork in creating structural songs that keeps you easily amused. The opening song is an absolute 10-pointer that just keeps the mind flow with an sweet melody, the record as a whole needs some lift from the high low-standard. thus 7.5p

What a CD,one my personal faves from 2003.Quality AOR from a band who deserve more recognition than some of these nu-breed bands.

If you love Scandi pure AOR as much as I do you need this album. In the same way as the recent efforts from Wig Wam and House of Mirrors, this one recaptures the days of big curly blonde hair-do's and parping keyboards. 'Someone' and 'Believe Me' are my two favourites, but the consistency is very high. Very reminiscent of Skagarack (albeit not quite matching any of their magnificent albums) and Dalton this one came right out of the blue. Excellent. 8.5/10.

Just got this this morning - Very good indeed even after a couple of spins, and on par with some of the great scandi releases of yesterday. Ironic that when i was having my 'discussion' with the Freak earlier, this was blaring out of the speakers. Wotty - give me your email and i will send you my list of discs, you can see what i'm into 7 likewise for you. Any discs you want to offload , you may want to do some trades.

Yeah, this one is excellent. Much better than 'Caught in the game', I feel. A more solid and fuller sounding collection of AOR. The first half of the CD thrills me in a very fine way! Great CD!

El vocalista canta exactamente igual que TEMPEST, y los teclados son totalmente OUT OF THIS WORLD. EXCELENTE.

Sweeping, majestic keyboards aplenty, harmonised vocals and a stinging, wailing guitar solo somewhere in the middle. Just as it should be. There are better albums, but this is great, nonetheless and well worth your time, effort and money.
