| And yet another danish band in the style of TREAT and DALTON with excellent tunes like "So Much for Happy Endings" and the same excellent production and enginnering from the Olafsson-Rasmussen pair with exquisite results.And what do we have here? Another excellent scandi AOR release 9/10.

Awesome work! Agreed with the above, but the band that Harlot can be compared to best is DA VINCI! Also similar to Winter's Reign, Bad Habit or Return. Lush keyboards and instantly gratifying choruses make this something that every collector should consider. I have almost 3000 CDs and this one still gets plenty of airtime. So if you can find one cheap enough, take a "harlot" home tonight!

| sorry guys but i dont agree with you on this one.this album its ok but nothing to shout about,although the song kecia is superb!.i agree with koogles that they sound very much like da vinci.

| Well, it's a gem no matter what...I agree, it tends to get a little boring in the long run but tracks like: "Out all Night", "Now I See" & especially the hit: "So much for Happy Endings" are worth the album alone...The singer Alex Savage alias Alex Nyborg Madsen is a well-known radio dj in DK these days but he's also been involved in other projects such as: Witchcross, Savage Affair & Led Zeppelin Jam...Some very memorable vocals there. In the vein of Robert Plant at times...

| Hi Scandinavia! I would love to live in Scandinavia, if I could go back in time I wanted to live there in the late 80s (say 1986) --unfortunately I can't.. sigh.. Thanx for the album review --I think it's exactely that point that the album gets a little boring throughout listening and it's not uptempo (if you like so). Well, give it a 6,8 out of 10 'cause it's good, solid work after all!

| Sorry to say that the cover showed here is a re-release. The original CD from 1989, Olafssongs OCD 011, has the text HARLOT and ROOM WITH A VIEW written with blue text. The "blue" version has a nice booklet but I've seen the "red" version as well where the lyrics are as a separate fold-out paper - very amateurish. The CD is lovely though with loads of very strong tracks. My favorite is their sing-a-long - in live siuations - "Invisible Ones",.. which is the bands tribute to their road crew.

| This CD is recorded in Sweet Silence, Copenhagen, where Fleming Rasmussen also did work with RAINBOW "Bent Out of Shape" & METALLICA "Master of Puppets"... the very same recording studio...

| Now here's a band who knew what they were doing!!! F*ck, these guys sound awesome. I also agree with Koogles on the DaVinci comparisons. Awesome musicianship and killer production, with great songs. What more could you ask for? 'Now I see' is a massive melodic hard rock anthem, 'So much for happy endings' is spectacular, 'Bring home your love' is very nice and the last track 'Keica' is a special moment too. I got this for an affordable price as above and highly recommend it!!!

| DaVinci1989, I've seen this around pretty cheaply - Schmankerl Records had it for next-to-nothing - and if you like Da Vinci then you certainly should like this. It's a little slower in tempo than Da Vinci, and IMO is way better than the Heaven album you mentioned, and any fan of Scandi AOR should enjoy it. Track 2 is a killer. 8/10.

| What TIM (2) said - double it!!! I got my copy from Schmankerl Records for about $8 and indeed, it is 10 times the album the Heaven disc is. Definately worth the price you can find it for.

I don't like this album as much as the HEAVEN Cd which is WAY better.. and DA VINCI is surely beyond this ! I even sold my copy but if it's that cheap I'll buy me a new one  However, I can honestly recommend NOW I SEE and the BRILLIANT though ordinarily made (so that's 80s like ballad BRING HOME YOUR LOVE !

Other good scandinavian act, mis expectativas fueron buenas, un album en las mismas lineas de bandas como skagarack, da vinci, talk of the town o glory (no tan bueno como estos 2 ultimos) que practican un rock melodico no hard melodico como dalton o treat, estamos ante otro buen trabajo asi que muchachos si aman lo escandinavo no puede faltar en tu coleccion, en temas  Now I See, So Much for Happy Endings y Out All Night las ganadoras. saludos hermanos.

| Soooo boring...just cheap AOR. The songs just have no soul. The band doesn't rock a bit. Keyboards are allover but they don't do any good to the songs.

| Hi Erik!Maybe it's the first time(or second ahaha)I do not agree with you here.I've tried to listen to again this cd after your last comments and I think this is pretty decent,nothin'else.Sincerely I don't really understand this comparison with the norvegian aorsters Heaven who I consider an awesome band and one of my faves because I find a particular feeling in their songs and a magical sounds too.Harlot were ok but Heaven were great IMO.Best regards!!!

| Decent album with some good moments.."Spirits" & "Metropolis Children" are really excellent songs,another goodies could be "So Much For Happy Endings","Out All Night" & "Invisible Ones" this one being the rocky track in the album...the other tracks somehow are quite good too.Alex Savage's vocal work is pretty good and it goes accordingly with the music..89/100

| I like this album very much !!! fantastic Scandi AOR and a great voice from Alex Savage !!! 90/100 You can hear Alex Savage also sing on this fantastic Heavy Metal album from 1984: hope you're ready for some real Metal, cuz this album's got it in spades. Denmark. 1984. Recorded at the same studio as "Melissa" and "Don't Break The Oath". 'Nuff said? ...apparently not. WITCH CROSS sound nothing like MERCYFUL FATE, but goddamn if they don't kick just as much ass. These guys are way more Rock, and kinda reminiscent of a heavier SCORPIONS - like I said, this is serious shit! "Face Of A Clown" is too cool for words - the super loud harmonies in the main riff, great drumming, and vocal lines that are catchy-as-fuck... I absolutely love it. I don't feel like gushing about every song, but suffice it to say that the other 7 are just as cool. Adding to the greatness of this record is the production... it's all over the place. Every song has a different mix, and there's all kindsa shit going on in
