Classic release and their best one , although 'Up' is another goodie. This is the re-release (Millennium Edition) with bonus track 'Back In America' feat The great Terry Brock (Strangeways). 'No filler, just Killer' would be the appropriate well used phrase for this album. Probably Fergie Frederiksens finest hour along with the debut 'Trillion' cd and 'Toto's - Fahrenheit'.Not a bad track in sight and a classic of the genre

I meant 'Isolation' not 'Fahrenheit' of course - Duuhhhh

From Melodicrock.com: A Le Roux re-union with none other than Fergie Frederiksen? It could be. After recording a planned new solo album, Fergie and the guys of Le Roux are in negotiations to write and record a new studio album for 2004 - which if and when they do it will be along the lines of "Last Safe Place" and "So Fired Up".

Inmenso.... AOR de muchisimos quilates, Fergie se sale en este disco... IMPRESCINDIBLE!!! 9/10

I would like to say hello to the boyz of La Roux, I had a difficult time working with them under my circomstances and thought Fregie did a nice job dispite the fact he came into the band late on. Jim was a real good guy which made the trip from NY worth it. Leon was a real pro as were the other boyz -- Rod -- what a guy!! Wish things could have gone differently -- but my heart wasn't really there. Living in LA now but leaving to record in NY City on easter sunday -- my first time back east since

I own five different versions of this album (two on vinyl, three on cd). That's how much i love it. Still the no. 1 highlight in my collection. AOR/pomprock of the superlative kind. 'A nice job' is the understatement of the century for Fergie's performance on this disc. I would very much welcome a new Le Roux album.

From: Rycheage Date: June 12, 2004 at 23:29
This would have to be one of the all time great AOR albums ever. There are classic moments like 'Turning Point', 'Carries Gone', 'Lifeline'. The quieter moments too like 'Wait One Minute' and 'Let Me In' are spellbinding. Overall it's a consistent AOR experience for the listener.

I agree with Troy (en de groetjes!): im my opinion the best AOR-album ever!!!

From: ArnoldLancelot Date: March 12, 2005 at 0:13
I could probably compare it with the 87'Stan Bush and Barrage selftitled, wich(don't get me wrong)it's a lot tougher; but some albums just never die! This is a Timeless CLASSIC with NONE weak track on it; and Mr. ROB GARCIA is truly right saying that every home should have one

Are you looking for another "Runaway" or "Separate Ways" then you should also check out this album especially "Turning Point" which is every bit as good as the Bon Jovi and Journey songs! It´s on my best of the best car hifi cdrs! excellent album throughout!

Que tema el Lifeline y que buen video tambien, Inmenso Fergie uno de los mejores cantantes sin duda, un año despues con Toto sacaria uno de los mejores albums de AOR de todos los tiempos y el mejor de ellos. salud por ello.

From: SangreAzulForever Date: September 2, 2006 at 9:23
Mind-blowing!! If you like this release you´d probably like to try with Shelter, Prototype, Fortune or I-Ten, ´cause they all have similar soundings. The singer appeared in Toto´s "Isolation", what a pitty that finally he didn´t continue with that line... 10/10.

From: lalorock Date: June 29, 2007 at 16:44

From: juan carlos Date: July 2, 2007 at 19:40
Grandioso disco sin dudas y la voz de Fergie ni que dudarlo en su mejor estado. "LET ME IN" simplemente me encanta y mi Súper-Favorita, "Carrie's Gone" mi 2º fav., la suave y fina "Wait One Minute" mi 3º fav., "Line on Love" "Turning Point"... Vaya calidad de temas, ninguna tiene desperdicio. Clásico. 9/10

2nd best Le Roux album after UP. Fergie was a great singer to but I still prefer the smoothness of Jeff Pollard. Some great songs on here - Wait One Minute, Yours tonight, Let Me In and Line On Love. Excellent album.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: January 25, 2011 at 21:29
Pleasant album as stated above...nice songs and perhaps one of their best releases as a band ...Fergie's doing great as usual and he gives these songs like some kind of pomp feel...like some Styx-ish style...opening track "Turning Point" is a rocker and the next one "Carrie's Gone" has catchy hooks,"Back In America" has somethin' to say,"Let Me In" follows the same catchy pattern as Carrie's Song and is one of the best tracks along with "Line On Love","Look Out" is another goodie to take count of...a nice one album 2 have...85/100

From: halfordhughes Date: May 12, 2011 at 22:28
this is Le Roux's best album!

From: Thomas/Coastline Date: February 4, 2021 at 17:32
Essential and classy AOR album from 1983 with the mighty Fergie "Turbo Voice" Frederiksen on vocals. Strong and well performed songs, keyboard heavy and hookladden with some Pomp elements, at times reminding of bands like Alliance - S/T (82), Dakota, Foreigner, Journey, Shelter-(First Stop) and Toto. A great product of it's time and a prime example of what the genre sounded like in the early/mid 80's. 9/10.
