Hey TIM. I most highly recommend this CD! This is one of my all time favorite Scandinavian AOR albums. All 10 tracks are outstanding songs. These guys are often compared to Fate, Da Vinci, Stage Dolls, Tindrum, and Treat (Dreamhunter). I would say they sound the most like Fate with the ballads of Da Vinci, but most definitely comparable to most Scandinavian AOR bands. I wish you the best of luck finding this CD. Metal 4 Life

It's already been reissued. One was just on Ebay. Two originals are there now and one outrageously-priced one is on Gemm.com. The band is now called Huldra. The email is: www.huldrarecords.no . An interview can be found here: http://www.angelfire.com/ma/strutteraor/HULDRAINTERVIEW.htm . I hear only 1,000 reissued copies were made, so I suggest you AOR fanatics get it while you can.

By the way, not saying the Gemm cd was not worth that at one time, but not with the reissue. The reissue is limited though.

To purhase this cd, go to either http://www.huldrarecords.no/ or http://rockofnorway.com/ . I think only a thousand pressings were made. Your best chance to spare your wallet for sure.

By the way, the reissue has a bonus track, bonus video, and is digitally remastered.

Yea.. finally I got the reissue with bonus track & video! I like the most the "mainstream" ballad TAKE ME BACK who has a lot of emotions to offer. At times I think the rockers are a little bit too slow and don't completely catch your breath. Due to the consistent 80s scandi rock with a lots of keys and melodies that reminds on EUROPE -the comparision with DA VINCI is as well clever- I give it a 7,5 (almost 8) out of 10!

I don't know where is the comparison with Tyketto or Firehouse here, maybe Strangeways but this guys are in my opinion very original and particular.I thought to listen the same scandi aor cd and I had a surprise.Heaven are similar to bands like Europe and Da Vinci(Stage Dolls, too)but they play a pure and awesome aor!!Great usin'of keys, perfect mix between catchy choruses and very good voice,it's easy to remember many of their refrains and that's a very positive thing!!One of best scandi aor band!

I have listened to this cd again. Its ok but to me there is not a real killer tune to be found. Nothing really memorable. Nevertheless good aor. 7/10

Very true Z4roxx. All coments are about personal likings. And this one just didnot do it for me. Therefor its good people can express the feelings they have with a particular song or band here at HH. Another oldie for example i like much more is Rat Bat Blue

Erik,I can recommend you also Big Talk, another scandi-trio from Sweden if I remember.Amazing aor with some pop touch, really a good 7 tracks....you find it in the site for other comments I think

IMO the bands mentioned above (FINGERPRINTS & BIG TALK) are streets ahead of this disc. I have the re-issue of this and would've been annoyed at paying the high price of the original. It is quite typical Scandi sounding, like early Europe or latter-day Treat, but just doesn't have the songs IMO. I'd rate it alongside the overrated STORMWING & EAST COAST discs as an okay AOR release. There are an awful lot of discs you should own before bothering with this one IMHO. 7/10.

Good AOR/Melodic Rock album, buen album y como no del 89 como diria robert, al estilo de sus hermanos talk of the town, stage dolls o harlot osea el AOR o Rock Melodico mas calmado de tierras de Thor, buenos temas Don't Stop Me Now, One More Night, Another Way, Angelina, Lonely Rider si te gusta lo escandinavo como a mi este es una buena adquisicion a tu coleccion.

this is perfect scandi melodic rock. and imo it´s as good as dalton, treat and other acts. very good vocals, great keys and all catchy chorusses. "sinners" is one of the 5 best ever scandi tracks. an absolute must!! 9/10

Easily one of the best AOR albums of all time What did haunt me as I rated this just 7,5 SHAME on myself!!! The first spinnings it sounded like mediocre pop/rock to me most probably, well now I'm absolutely amazed. 9,5/10. Not just the ballad "Take me back" but all the others ("Don't stop me now", "Sinners", "Broken Wings"..) are sensational. And the bonus track of the reissue "Children of our time" is not bad either DA VINCI & FROM THE FIRE stuff at its best

|
From: mauricio |

OUT OF MY LIFE otro tema tranquilo

I agree with those who commented that it's a good AOR release but nothing spectacular. As a few other said, it's pretty consistent/solid but just doesn't have the songs. "Take Me Back" is good and the highlight of the album for me. A few other decent ones. Vocals are nice but a little too limited for my taste. Good guitar though. Just a shame it's lacking a bit with vocals and the caliber of songs. Overall, a solid melodic AOR effort that has some decent tunes. 72/100

Pretty nice release..nice and catchy songs...in general lines, the type of album that for us AOR lovers is enjoyable from head to toes ,"Let Go" is such a solid starter, hooks u up immediately,"Take Me Back" a nice ballad,"Don`t Stop Me Now" is a very attractive AOR song,a highlight 4 sure,"Lonely Rider" has pretty good choruses,a fine AOR track too,"One More Night" is a smoothie one,"Out Of My Life" is a highlight itself and "Childrem Of Our Time" that is not listed in the tracks(#11 )is a nice song with a realistic message,a warning to our society...a good choice if u buy it!.87/100

Beautiful CD. This is really unique-sounding scandi-AOR. It almost seems to have a kind of Celtic flavour to it. I really treasure this one. It's a shame they didn't do another one. 95/100

pretty good release for HEAVEN back in 89 with their sound being somewhere between DA VINCI and EASY ACTION with strong keyboard dose and fine melodic lines here and there ,just not blowminding!the songs are ok and there are some catchy ones like "children of our time" and "anglelina" or "lonely rider"!Norway bands always delivering the goods
