I'm interested in getting this one day. Anyone recommend it?

From: METAL 4 EVER Date: May 14, 2003 at 14:39
Hey TIM. I most highly recommend this CD! This is one of my all time favorite Scandinavian AOR albums. All 10 tracks are outstanding songs. These guys are often compared to Fate, Da Vinci, Stage Dolls, Tindrum, and Treat (Dreamhunter). I would say they sound the most like Fate with the ballads of Da Vinci, but most definitely comparable to most Scandinavian AOR bands. I wish you the best of luck finding this CD. Metal 4 Life

From: Mitch Date: May 31, 2003 at 13:23
Hello friends, can anyone help me finding this CD, please?? I would either buy it or exchange it with other PURE Melodic Rock Bands (Lion, Tyketto, Firehouse, Strangeways.....+100 others) Email: loveinfire@hotmail.com

From: robert Date: September 22, 2003 at 15:41
otro buen grupo Sueco, q paso inadvertido en su momento.. buenos temas, para un buen disco. ¿como no va ser bueno si es d 1989?

From: loser Date: September 23, 2003 at 9:46
This album will be reissued this year I believe

From: TIM Date: October 29, 2003 at 14:31
It's already been reissued. One was just on Ebay. Two originals are there now and one outrageously-priced one is on Gemm.com. The band is now called Huldra. The email is: www.huldrarecords.no . An interview can be found here: http://www.angelfire.com/ma/strutteraor/HULDRAINTERVIEW.htm . I hear only 1,000 reissued copies were made, so I suggest you AOR fanatics get it while you can.

From: TIM Date: October 29, 2003 at 14:36
By the way, not saying the Gemm cd was not worth that at one time, but not with the reissue. The reissue is limited though.

From: TIM Date: November 3, 2003 at 22:09
To purhase this cd, go to either http://www.huldrarecords.no/ or http://rockofnorway.com/ . I think only a thousand pressings were made. Your best chance to spare your wallet for sure.

From: TIM Date: November 18, 2003 at 12:02
By the way, the reissue has a bonus track, bonus video, and is digitally remastered.

From: TIM Date: November 18, 2003 at 12:09
By the way, the reissue has a bonus track, a bonus video, and is remastered.

From: Scandi Date: December 16, 2003 at 17:57
Yea.. finally I got the reissue with bonus track & video! I like the most the "mainstream" ballad TAKE ME BACK who has a lot of emotions to offer. At times I think the rockers are a little bit too slow and don't completely catch your breath. Due to the consistent 80s scandi rock with a lots of keys and melodies that reminds on EUROPE -the comparision with DA VINCI is as well clever- I give it a 7,5 (almost 8) out of 10!

From: erik Date: March 4, 2004 at 6:52
Been looking forever for this cd. If anyone can help me out with trading or sharing that would be fantastic. please email erikhardam@hetnet.nl

From: z4roxx Date: January 18, 2005 at 18:09
I don't know where is the comparison with Tyketto or Firehouse here, maybe Strangeways but this guys are in my opinion very original and particular.I thought to listen the same scandi aor cd and I had a surprise.Heaven are similar to bands like Europe and Da Vinci(Stage Dolls, too)but they play a pure and awesome aor!!Great usin'of keys, perfect mix between catchy choruses and very good voice,it's easy to remember many of their refrains and that's a very positive thing!!One of best scandi aor band!

From: Erik Date: January 23, 2005 at 7:54
I have listened to this cd again. Its ok but to me there is not a real killer tune to be found. Nothing really memorable. Nevertheless good aor. 7/10

From: z4roxx Date: January 23, 2005 at 18:48
Erik, those are different likings,It's good that we have different points of VU.I sung the song"take me back"for 3 days,my mother wanted callin'the neuro!ahahahaha!!and I love songs as"angelina","lonely rider"and"out of my life"(sung durind my dinner last evening!ahahah!).Erik,I find somethin'special and different in this band but, every guy has its likings...

From: rocky Date: January 24, 2005 at 1:31
what was once considered the holy grail of aor........ here it is, reissued........ good to seealot more people arecoming aware of this obscure Norwegian gem

From: Erik Date: January 24, 2005 at 2:26
Very true Z4roxx. All coments are about personal likings. And this one just didnot do it for me. Therefor its good people can express the feelings they have with a particular song or band here at HH. Another oldie for example i like much more is Rat Bat Blue

From: z4roxx Date: January 26, 2005 at 14:51
Yes Erik, just personal likings and feelings, too!I love this band and for me every track is killer and I can well remember every thier refrains!Yeah Erik, listened not to much months ago Rat Bat Blue again, very good scandi aor with an original poppy basements sometimes,"gypsy heart"awesome!!!If you like Rat Bat Blue you can absolutely get(if you don't have)FINGERPRINTS/time is all we need, maybe the greatest pop/aor cd ever heard...regards!!

From: Erik Date: January 27, 2005 at 3:25
z4roxx i dont know about that band called Fingerprint. Are they scandi also ? And r they really that good ? Hmm i want that cd then !!

From: z4roxx Date: January 27, 2005 at 13:54
Erik,Fingerprints are a swedish trio, only cd maden was"time is all we need"(1989,sonet).On ebay is too high.If you like Rat Bat Blue or some bands in that vein you'll be shocked by Fingerprints!Take care!

From: Erik Date: January 28, 2005 at 2:33
Thanks for the info Z4roxx !

From: z4roxx Date: January 28, 2005 at 12:49
Erik,I can recommend you also Big Talk, another scandi-trio from Sweden if I remember.Amazing aor with some pop touch, really a good 7 tracks....you find it in the site for other comments I think

From: TIM (2) Date: March 22, 2005 at 4:02
IMO the bands mentioned above (FINGERPRINTS & BIG TALK) are streets ahead of this disc. I have the re-issue of this and would've been annoyed at paying the high price of the original. It is quite typical Scandi sounding, like early Europe or latter-day Treat, but just doesn't have the songs IMO. I'd rate it alongside the overrated STORMWING & EAST COAST discs as an okay AOR release. There are an awful lot of discs you should own before bothering with this one IMHO. 7/10.

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: April 7, 2005 at 23:36
Good AOR/Melodic Rock album, buen album y como no del 89 como diria robert, al estilo de sus hermanos talk of the town, stage dolls o harlot osea el AOR o Rock Melodico mas calmado de tierras de Thor, buenos temas Don't Stop Me Now, One More Night, Another Way, Angelina, Lonely Rider si te gusta lo escandinavo como a mi este es una buena adquisicion a tu coleccion.

From: oliver Date: April 10, 2005 at 10:20
this is perfect scandi melodic rock. and imo it´s as good as dalton, treat and other acts. very good vocals, great keys and all catchy chorusses. "sinners" is one of the 5 best ever scandi tracks. an absolute must!! 9/10

From: davinci1989 Date: April 21, 2005 at 4:32
That's as good as Dalton,Treat,Europe,Da Vinci, Alien etc... The song "take me back" is pure magic !

From: SCANDI Date: October 10, 2005 at 8:25
Easily one of the best AOR albums of all time What did haunt me as I rated this just 7,5 SHAME on myself!!! The first spinnings it sounded like mediocre pop/rock to me most probably, well now I'm absolutely amazed. 9,5/10. Not just the ballad "Take me back" but all the others ("Don't stop me now", "Sinners", "Broken Wings"..) are sensational. And the bonus track of the reissue "Children of our time" is not bad either DA VINCI & FROM THE FIRE stuff at its best

From: z4roxx Date: October 13, 2005 at 13:10
Not many times I have to agree with someone in the site but when I read this about Heaven….totally agree!!!This is one of the best scandi cd ever made IMO….10/10!!!!!!!

From: mauricio Date: December 27, 2005 at 16:19
OUT OF MY LIFE otro tema tranquilo

From: mauricio Date: December 27, 2005 at 16:19

From: mauricio Date: December 27, 2005 at 16:20
y que muchas de esas copias se hayan vendido por $500 en EBAY antes de salir esta reedicion de la huldra records de 1000 copias y que una de ellas esta en mi poder y que se une a mi coleccion de bandas noruegas como=T N T-STAGE DOLLS-DA VINCI-TINDRUM-RETURN-EVENRUDE-SHA BOOM-VAGABOND-ARK-CIRCUS MAXIMUS-CONCEPTION-DREAM POLICE-GREENHOUZE-HEAVEN-HUSH-NORTHERN LIGHT-ON THE RISE-RAIN-SONS OF ANGELS-STREET LEGAL-WIG WAM-WINTER PARADE.todos originales POR SUPUESTO. compralo maujobarksott@hotmail.com

Anyone who liked this great cd should check out their DEMOS cd.Fantastic stuff too and as good as the "take me back" release.

From: z4roxx Date: March 11, 2007 at 11:28
Where can I listen their demo please? What's the year?I know they've changed name in Huldra, unfortunately I did never listen nothing about them.....

From: metalhead4life Date: April 22, 2009 at 22:17
I agree with those who commented that it's a good AOR release but nothing spectacular. As a few other said, it's pretty consistent/solid but just doesn't have the songs. "Take Me Back" is good and the highlight of the album for me. A few other decent ones. Vocals are nice but a little too limited for my taste. Good guitar though. Just a shame it's lacking a bit with vocals and the caliber of songs. Overall, a solid melodic AOR effort that has some decent tunes. 72/100

From: rick kerch vzla Date: August 18, 2010 at 21:34
Pretty nice release..nice and catchy songs...in general lines, the type of album that for us AOR lovers is enjoyable from head to toes ,"Let Go" is such a solid starter, hooks u up immediately,"Take Me Back" a nice ballad,"Don`t Stop Me Now" is a very attractive AOR song,a highlight 4 sure,"Lonely Rider" has pretty good choruses,a fine AOR track too,"One More Night" is a smoothie one,"Out Of My Life" is a highlight itself and "Childrem Of Our Time" that is not listed in the tracks(#11 )is a nice song with a realistic message,a warning to our society...a good choice if u buy it!.87/100

From: Pee Dee Date: March 9, 2011 at 15:05
Beautiful CD. This is really unique-sounding scandi-AOR. It almost seems to have a kind of Celtic flavour to it. I really treasure this one. It's a shame they didn't do another one. 95/100

From: Pee Dee Date: August 31, 2011 at 18:23
I've changed the rating to 100. It's bloody awesome - if you're into the sound!
